It appalls me how nobody has mentioned the 251 flamer yet.
Seriously, the best counter to a T1 opening for OH is the 251 with the flamer upgrade. It also works awesome against maxim spam, conscripts, and really anything that doesn't have an AT gun looking at it.
I've had so many games where my SU enemy built like three or four maxims, or nothing but penals and snipers and clown cars, and then they ragequit when I literally burn their entire army to death, chasing them down with the raging infernos, and when they come back with an AT gun or armor I suddenly have four Maxims, and they're all backed up by Paks.
251 kicks ass.
it cost too much and very risky for 251 go front line most time, since it have paper thin armor your lucky that maxim guy didn't bring out AT gun, i use to make maxim ratio to AT gun at 2:1 |
if it is early game i say push with 2 units and 1 unit try to flank force sniper in retreat. just make it spend less time in the field.
OKW as lemon said rush luch to chase it
OST if you or your teammate is Mechanised Assault commander, Mechanised Assault group is perfect counter and chaser to SU snipers
or you think RNG God is with you use mortars and Field guns |
there i did some clean up that i should have done yesterday.
hmm I didn't thought my is that excessive, oh well will be careful next time, btw outlaw i posted comment base on a wrong replay, lol sorry for that, but I don't felt want to watch yours anymore, sorry about that. |
i find Guard smoke + zis-3 attack ground works perfect to against t4 build of OKW, also motars, USF bazooka blob + rifle smoke + attack ground... also something like zero in art will work too |
That's a problem with T4 then. The T-34/76 has little shock value, and the SU-85 doesn't do a much better job than the SU-76.
SU-85 still have its value in late game, it have much better armor and health wont' be dead from 3 shots of any tank. vet3 85 is beast, while vet 3 SU76 is still paper |

witcher 3 is on my wish list i hear good things about it problem is my comp can't run it =(
you can run COH2 then you should be fine to run the witcher 3, my laptop runs both witcher 3 and COH2 on lowest sitting about same FPS borrow your friend's GOG copy and try it out. |
How to help fix blobs versus OKW:
- Kubel to doctrines
- MG34 to HQ with cost increased to 240 and gets it's old damage back and a vet 1 ability that drastically increases ROF at the cost of not firing for a few seconds after the ability is done
- Flaktrack health increased to 400
- Volks get a buff similar to Ostruppen when in cover allowing them to push away blobs attacking defensive positions.
- AI upgrade package you can take instead of the shrek that equips Volks with StG's that do more damage at mid range instead of short.
I could love to trade kubel with MG34, I had way too many kubel drifting during first engagement, its side armor is too paper so everytime it happens it is a dead kubel. right now the only thing i could counter blob is my stuka, and pray that enemy will fall back to my stuka barrage, because i always barrage behind them.

I don't know what the Priest's cool down is off the top of my head but it's not too far off from two minutes. The Priest dies in two hits as well, and it's in only one doctrine that doesn't help with armor or any late game necesity that USF needs in certain situations.
I don't think the price is fine. 400MP and 100 FU would be reasonable.
yes Priest do cost more than Stuka, but keep in mind if two unit barrage each other Priest with some RNG that priest hit stuka twice in a barrage, stuka will be dead, on other hand, priest never die from a barrage of stuka (not from my experience, 1 time i double stuka barrage on 1 priest, it still lives)
so priest have shorter CD, more damage, better survival compare to stuka, and can crew repair only thing it is doesn't have is it doesn't land all its shots at same time as stuka does and not as accurate. for the comparestion i think priest price right now is fine. |
Ya, just tried out a few games as OKW to see on the receiving end as to how op the SU-76 was. Was extremely surprised, especially after having just read a 10 page bitch fest about how op the SU-76 was, as to how not OP it was. Seriously the jagdpanzer ruins them. And hey, if that didn't work, a puma, racketen or even my core infantry that had panzershreks all worked just fine.
What I did remember is that the general player quality of the average axis player is lower then that of the allies, they require less micro and thought into how there going to play. All this "su-76 is op" garbage is just people not adjusting there static strategies to a new environment.
the point is not how SU76 is op, it is too effective for its cost. and single SU76 is not op but 3-4 of them is. yes JP counters it, but AT infantry is by luck. |
stop blobing spread your units out, bad moves when use ostwind. focus on the wrong side of the map germans want open fields while allies want focus on CQC area |
