Try getting two fast bren carriers and upgrade the MG, do this before getting a Lt. Keep them seperate so the blob cant charge them down together, kite them like crazy, really drain their MP before they are allowed to put too much pressure on your truck, dont wait that will already too late.
Any emplacements or infantry/trenches are pretty risky vs flame blob. At least brens can back away and have a repair function. They may try to counter with scout cars, but use the brens together and AP ammo will ruin them.
If you apply enough kiting with the brens that should occupy the pios and your Recon squad should be able to cap a lot of the map.
Pio spam is an all in (more or less), your investing all your early fuel into engineers.. against these types of builds you ussually want large T1 to weather the initial storm. Then as you have also failed to teck up much, it might be easier to go for churchills. If you feel you can get out a cromwell, do that instead. |
Werh player, why you no shrek to defend your paks. Would have transformed the game at 19 mins when he only had a T34, HT and couple squads. You had the PGs and the munis.
OK, you did then get some shreks, but it was a little late, could have ended the game earlier.
LOL - AT nade kills a Tiger |
Theres no problem with how to micro it. The problem is the rocket not even reaching where you aim before exploding.
Aiming behind tanks helps a lot, but that does require getting even closer. |
the armor of it has no point as it is used as an assault gun and it gets abandoned when hit while reloading.
lul wut? Of course it has a purpose, its not that long range, so you need to be able to drive upto ATG lines or face to face with a vehicle to get shots off. Then it has to pull back often being chased by armour completely self defenseless... so yeah, it does need armour. |
Yeah Kv-2 can certainly be beastly, they seem to fire so often with vet 3!
But industry CAN be very very effective in 4v4 in another way, go for SU85s and KV8s. On open maps its brutal. Only weakness is early on until the 1st KV8. But you could go T3 first, or just rely on team mates. Also you can throw a katy into the mix later if you need it. |
No it would be a shame to change the nature of it. Even as it is, its still useful, it would just be more reliable/viable if it actually hit where you aim 9/10.
A panther is not essnetial if you go straight for S Tiger. Plenty of people stall straight for KT in team games (thanks to shrek blob), and its equally viable to get a S Tiger into KT.
Against vehicles you can use Falls, pop out a building, fuast, nuke |
No, 20s reload would be insane. Everything about it is fine, except for when it derps on terrain. You dont want to be nuked once a minute.
And dual 34/85s can actually have a hard time with it, you just have to take advantage of faction design: Couple rakketens in buildings next to the Flaf HQ is an ideal reloading base for the S Tiger. You can quite happily pop at any tank or blob and retreat to safety. |
Look people, the mods here dont have to enforce it.
But here is what will happen if they dont:
Shit will get said, massive discussions will erupt, things will get taken out of context cos' interent and having half a picture, or less. Sooner or later Relic will realise they have a big pile of turd on their hands and will have to request mods here to clean up threads/posts and potentially ban users.
All this is a lot more trouble and work for the mods than if they just nipped it in the bud right at source, not to mention it also sours relationships with our developer.
It baffles me that people cant understand this. |
This has probably been discussed before, but I cant find it anywhere.
Relic changed the way the SturmTiger fires a while back, I think they shortened the range? But made it shoot through objects.
The problem is, the rocket clips small changes in hight of the ground and still explodes prematurley.
This really sucks, given the intended downsides of short range, long (vulnerable) reload, no aditional weapon and long aim time.
If you think realistically, the barrel is plenty above the ground that it shouldnt be skipping along the ground before reaching where it is aimed.
So what about giving it more of a projected arc, so it can actually reach its target most of the time. Its unique, but under used. At least its not bat shit OP. But would be nice if it was more reliable. |
Well said Ciez. Perfectly logical.
And given that Relic takes NDA seriously, its perfectly natural that coh2.org would want to see it respected and continue its warm relationship with Relic.
I really dont get what all the fuss is about. |
