Thread: Wehrmacht has to many "get out of jail free" abilities12 Jun 2015, 10:52 AM The thing that can make CAS dominate, is the spam of inf with plenty of munis for upgrades, topped off with air support that really allows you to dominate (aka cheese), but it is possible for a good enemy to pick you to pieces with armour, so long as they keep your army in check and its not allowed to snow ball. If you DO decide to teck to P4 with CAS, you are instantly hurting the amount of infatry AND planes you field, because tecking costs plenty of MANPOWER and fuel.. so CAS then becomes more rounded, but not as powerful. Its powerful for the same reason Mech Assault and Stug Es are powerful, it is one of few Werh doctrines that has some impact without investing teck heavily in manpower, allowing you to field a decent sized infatry force. Thread: Jackson spam11 Jun 2015, 18:01 PM Best way to deal with Jackson is same way as Snipers, use shot blockers to prevent it from kiting. And they could just fix USA pop cap abuse by giving the vehicle crews themselves the same pop cap as their tank, so when they exit, nothing would change.. In: COH2 Gameplay

Using all the broken CAS tools, especially the stuka loiter that is incredibly broken or the rifle nade wipe machines or stun grenades that stop enemy infantry from there retreat and you can't win with them? I don't play axis much no secret, but I play against them. Try this make gren blobs, make more gren blobs, get double paks, choose commander with stuka loiter and tiger tank. Paks follow around the tiger at all times. Let tiger and gren blobs wipe opposing infantry. Click stukka loiter on any jacksons or any thing else that stands a small chance at killing or flanking your tiger. Win. My least fav strat to play against. If you want to call the loitering stuka, you lose a hell of a lot of other abilities like tellars, rifle nades, MGs on tanks, Scout car upgrade. Normally when I play werh, all my munis are used up without calling in any 200 muni ability. And if your talking about not tecking and just calling in Tigers, USA and soviet can ruin you with tanks so even if a Tiger arrives youve lost too much. If you teck, its expensive on manpower, so you lose field pressence. Only way to safely and affordably reach Tigers is using Stug Es backed with paks. Honestly, you cant comment too much on Werh if you dont play them, because hand on heart it is so frustrating. USA and Soviets are so bloody strong at the moment. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Wehrmacht has to many "get out of jail free" abilities11 Jun 2015, 12:56 PM Squeaky Door is absolutley right, that chart only shows that very high skill players who know all the best builds to get around Werhs tecking costs can get wins with them. I wouldnt say Werh is too UP atm, but it does struggle 1v1 at anything but the highest levels. Slight decreases to tecking costs IMO, would just bring them in line. But of course Relic has pretty big changes planned. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Command Tanks?11 Jun 2015, 12:47 PM Interesting ideas, Ive often wanted to use the command tank more, but often feel if you already went T3, you might as well just get another P4 for better AT. But I probably should be looking to my paks for AT anyway. Spotting scopes are soo good for using paks. Ive been using Ostwinds with scopes backed by paks for AT, then throw in a P4. Can be pretty nice, it OWNS all their inf hard, and can snipe jacksons, and T34/85s before they know whats going on. Best counter to this becomes ATG play, then you have to try use your inf and flanks from Ostwinds. Double Ostwind also has funny effect of owning P47s. In: Ostheer Strategies

Thread: ostheer bunker spam8 Jun 2015, 10:03 AM Yeah I quite like penals, you can use just a couple combined with cons and just use the cons to merge reinforce when you retreat to base. Can be done quickly when you get the hang of it. Satchel is bad ass in lots of situations. And penal DPS can wipe squads much more often. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Command Panther8 Jun 2015, 09:57 AM IMO, if you want to try using Spec Ops for 1v1, the way to do it, is NOT teck T3. Just go T1 and T2. You'l probably want more S pios and 1 or maybe even 2 Flak HTs to make up for no doctrinal inf or Obers. You can get a Puma and/or JP4, which later you will supplement with the Command Panther. Get a Stuka and use the doctrinal flares to make best use of it. Main advantages of this doc (1v1) would be the focus fire ability of the panther, combined with its sight range. And good use of scouting for the stuka. In: Lobby

I REALLY like Minsk as soviets. Gaining huge map control is really easy. Just spam and flank to death then bring in armour. Plus M3s can be brutal on it. Ok, OKW have a much better time than Werh. Thread: Maps you really REALLY do not like to play on8 Jun 2015, 08:51 AM Stalingrad, ive actually had good sucess with.G43s and spam P4s. The Close range works well for P4s. And you can try dominate the map before they call in. However, if they do spam shocks its not good. Maybe a FHT into P4s would be only viable counter. Bystaya Voda, canbe really fun. Onlyharras the fuel as axis, go hard on North for munis and VPs. Make a single fuel cache to make up for loss of fuel point. Its nice and open for paks. Minsk always seems allied favoured, long distance to Base, loads of flanking. In: COH2 Gameplay
