I knew you where a bad player but this simply confirms it. for the ostheer riflenades will do it for the okw who do not have any of the things mentioned above the raw firepower of the obers will do the trick. It had absolutely nothing to do with the hard fact that it was the ONLY unit you needed before armor(5 min KV-8 known as 251) arrived and with 0 micro if would pin squads advancing on the opposing ends of the arc. This actually how a mg should be. So yeah it was the fault of the whiny fangirls. And their is no excuse considering how many counters the soviets have in countering an unsupported mg. i have never seen a single case of mg42 spam . But maxim spam has been an issue since the beta of this game. The mg42/34 need to be far better at suppression then their much more mobile counterparts. also the 251 has been nerfed into oblivion because of whiners as well. In: COH2 Balance

Do you guys understand the IS-2 was better than the tiger in every way except reload speed due to having to load a propellant charge and a shell, and raw penetration which was largely a moot point anway? If anything a IS-2 should beat a Tiger II.... No it doesnt. The is2 was a heavy infantry support tank. you say reload as it was a minor issue but the fact was that the tiger could shoot out 4-5 times more shells then the is2. the is2 was fairly inaccurate. That said the is2 could knock-out a tiger. So my money would be firmly on the tiger. Now the soviets at the time really had some good TD's especially the su100. but the is2 was not one of them. Now gameplay reasons is that the panther has simply shit dps and cannot penetrate the is2 reliability. Neither can the jacksons the tiger/tiger 2 but you can have 2 jacksons for each panther and overall the tiger is going to face 4 times more AT dps then the is2. the okw can compensate with shrek volks the ost cannot. That said the is2 has to much armour. In: Scrap Yard

I don't risk too much. I dont think you can even disarm demo's. never tried it myself if its possible to risky as you said yourself. but target ground has an annoying habit of not working unless the aoe is sufficient. only good way to blow a demo is using a nade. Ad that flamethrower in the mix. you likely get different results. take note however that ost/okw baseline infantry is more about long range combat then short range combat. i would say that the potential for AE is higher then the SP's. AE might have more utility but they are doctrinal so in fact you lose mich more utiliy. No LMGs, no P47, no Paras... etc. this is not proof the AE where not shooting for some reason. And who gives a shit about para/lmgs' on CC maps. Using the right tools on the right map. some scrubs beleive that airborne works n every single map. they arewrong. In: COH2 Balance
