With unupgraded conscripts it`s not even a contest and I got so incredibly bored of picking the same commander all the time to get ppshs/htd. Since there is no other alternative to conscripts than maxims I ended up in a very similar spot. Forced myself to play maxims even though I don`t especially like them. I ended up just playing germans most of the time though instead of alternating evenly as I used to. So you got my respect for the perseverance to make this work. Btw it`s an enjoyable game to watch too. In: Replays

Thread: Make weapon upgrades consistent!18 Oct 2013, 09:28 AM Pgrens - if a guy with Schreck dies, the Schreck gets dropped/destroyed. You need to pick it up or re-buy. Guards - if a guy with DP lmg or PTRS rifle dies, it gets dropped/destroyed. You need to pick it up or re-buy. LMG Grens - if the guy with the LMG dies, another LMG spawns in the hands of another squad member. It get so far that when you kill the squad one by one like this there are FOUR LMGs lying around...mental (just for the record the final member has a chance of dropping it, btw if you upgrade Grens with LMG and G43s, then 3 upgraded members die and the one with kar98k retreats, the reinforced members get another LMG/G43s. I assume the same nonsense works for Cons and PPSHs but I am not sure. It is inconsistent and it makes zero sense. Fix this, it will help to solve the OP LMG issue naturally as well. In: Lobby
Thread: What if the ZiS and Sniper squad were swapped?18 Oct 2013, 06:36 AM I can see where you are coming from, however having ZiS-3 in tier 1 seems a bit like an overkill. I would suggest swapping Sniper for the M-42 45mm AT Gun instead. That way you would have a light AT option in case you go for tier 1 to fight German light vehicles but without being already set up against the medium armor as well. That would mean you could actually use Soviet tier 1 without the necessity to go for Guards to avoid FHT rape. At the same time the usability of German Sniper would be much better and it would be fine that it gets countered by Soviet Sniper as it does right now since Soviet Sniper would be a doctrinal unit. Plus Urban Defense sounds like a nice home for the Sniper, Enemy at the Gates anyone? In: COH2 Balance

Oh yeah I want to get up in this bitch and detect those armored vehicles like there is no tomorrow. I am seriously guys. The reasoning is simple. In this thread we learned that PPSHs are either useless and not neccessary or totally OP. Possibly both. So you either don`t need them or shouldn`t have them. Maybe you don`t need them and shouldn`t have them in the first place! In any case they must go, that much is clear. The choice of replacement is a simple one. It`s not like which one of the Spice Girls you want to impregnate. No, the only possibility is AVD. If we force it down the throats of ppl enough Relic will have to actually look into it and make it into a decent ability. That is unless it is OP, in which case let me know. In: COH2 Gameplay
