I think we need a 4 dolla doctrine that allows grens to buy a single panzershrek at 1 cp for 70 munis |
Isn't this more of a PG spam strategy than actual osttruppen? Just a nitpick
In the 2v2s I played recently I will go
1. build t1 / call in osttruppen
2. build 1 grenadier / call in 2-3 more osttruppen
3. build mortar
4. get a reinforcement bunker around my mortar to lessen the effectivity of trying to chase mortar off the field, if it gets decrewed -> osttruppen recrew
4.1 Decide if I can afford a munitions cache
5. tech to tier 2 for a fast scout car to help vs shocks/penals
6. pgren/pak depending on muni situation. it's tricky because building maps favor upgrading a flamethrower, but building maps also favor shreks, but goal is to get both of them out |
This is clearly the start of something great. Slurp is here, ami is here, I see budwise posting on the forums (grouchy). I see dave & the LAID
I would like if we could get together a weekend for 2-3 hours and have some games, for old time's sake.
Elitegren of course is responsible for getting panthers out since he is german. If you don't have a german in the panzer seat you might as well not build them. |
Email this to beta testing forum or relic |
You must go to canada, kidnap a employee and teabag him until he makes a ostheer doctrine that allows you to buy a single shrek on grenadiers

The function of sites like these are for people to discuss what ideally would be best, and venting.
Actual useful discussion like how to handle situation x inside the game is in minority.
It's nice to think of possible developers reading good ideas here. And they will of course say that read input, but how often do you see they write: "well I read this thread on blahblahmygame.com and I passed it on and we thought it was a good idea so it was added to this patch verison x.xx.
Face it, a new doctrine being more efficient than the other one's are exactly what makes them salesworthy. I bet you could even argue that there's some legality involved in changing the product post-sale (like nerfing industry).
the only thing you can do is modify the core game to avoid the outrage of:
"hey my pay2win got nerfed money back pls"
i wish that there was more actual categorical discussion on how to break the industry doctrine as in actually talking about strategy, the strategy forums here are fucking dead
there's a huge difference between for example in 2v2s how much in T1 you spend and how ready you are. Spend too much in T1, you get pushed off map when the soviet fuel units arrive. Tech to AT too fast and oyu get rolled in t1.
I think osttruppen actually was a lot more sensible DLC commander. It has a higher CP ability allowing you to get 150 munis. When this fully comes into play you can have a heavily equipped T1/T2 units with the munis
I think we would be more lenient as a community if it didn't seem like they sacrifice the gameplay with new DLC content
Relic, don't fuck with the early game. Static conversions like industry limits gameplay for both sides since you know what type of units (support units and armor) they will use.
Use the system with having a higher cp ability where you convert one type of resource type to another however allows you to focus your strategy into either manpower/muni or manpower/fuel - after actually having to be forced to play the core game for, oh, lets say, 5 minutes |
vs Double industry commanders
Well a lot of years have passed. I used to have a certain recipe to the type of games I would post in coh1. I hope to be able to provide you with the same crazy type of 2v2 battle and 1v1 smurfing that I used to, but WOAH it gets harder to play good when you get older!
Right after unticking kharkov the map shows up. Our opponents: Mylittle & Pony
I see their industry commanders and I quickly decide to go gren gren mortar muni OP into t2 for pgrens and shreks.
At one point there is a single squad left in my base I think, that was all I had.
It called for the most radical of responses. I commanded the magic pioneers to take the battle to the enemy.
My teammate is of course the trusty silent but violent EliteGren.
We scour the 2v2 at european times looking for good games, most of the games we get are bad, but we thought this one was pretty good.
Hope to see familiar names soon! |
good initiative, hope to see wolfhesski and mcgechaenski for coh 2 |
How about the lack of overlap? Nobody stands up for the little guy?
I want more free doctrines with the elephant in |
Any of the guys participating in the beta:
can you ask relic if it's too much work to add a grace period for lag
60 seconds sounds okay
that way when one guy is lagging him and his teammate can't kick the guy "lagging back", the the prime lagger will always aquire most "lag time" so that the actual lagger team is the one who loses a human player |
