Frankly, as the meta of this patch develops and KV-8 commanders becomes more popular due to Shock buff and MG42 nerf granting much more viability to T2/T4 builds, this is just going to spiral out of control. there is a reason why the balance devs are purposely ignoring the op soviet units while nerfing german units at every opportunity ... they want to please the whiny russians in the CIS and beyond who are already inflamed at the campaign. You need 2 su 85s to deal with one fht or it will kill your entire army. Dealing with t70s are so easy to deal with now. In my opinion they need a massive buff. If you have a tiger you can kill a t70 in 1 and a half shots. Its so easy. LOL new soviet troll account warning .... This guy is hilarious. Telling to combat T70 with a late game doctrinal unit ROFLMAO. This is like telling soviets to use ISU152 to combat the FHT. In: COH2 Balance

After last game I understand what you guys mean when saying that your units were obliterated by KV-8. Something have to be done, as I am sure that wasn't intentional design decision. This patch is definitely far more fun to play than the last one on either side, even if I don't agree with the heavy tank price changes. On the few occasions if you decide to play as Germans (I know its hard), put a panzer 4 in front of a conscript squad and notice HOW LONG it takes for the conscripts to take damage. Now do the reverse for a T34 on a gren squad and see how they get vaporized (despite the fact PZ4 is 30 fuel more expensive) Of course the patch will be fun for soviet lovers, now you can rush conscripts headon into an mg42 without being supressed and even like the good old glory days use maxims to charge into a 42's line of fire and kill it. My argument is that take a look at the history of the patches. Every single forum post about nerfing Germans (PZ4/strafe/opel/mg42) and buffing soviets (shocks/t34/is2/maxim) was given a response by relic. Fair enough some of them did need it BUT But anything game breaking like KV8 insta killing anything and everything or the uber cheap su85 costing the same fuel as a pz4 but outranging every single non doctrinal german unit despite there being 10 page threads on it hardly warrants a response. Being a balance dev maybe for the interest of neutrality it would be nice if he showed a few games as him playing as Germans. With the recent over nerfs of German units (specially PZ4 and MG42), it might be good if he could show himself playng as Germans in the next cast. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: MG42 Post Patch12 Sep 2013, 18:55 PM mg42 is worthless now as a support weapon. Even with gren support, and firing from max range, a squad of conscripts despite under fire from the 42 with the Usain bolt oorah were able to avoid being supressed (forget pinning), managed to get behind the 42 and decrew in seconds with molotov. Maxim mean time has almost same supression , better DPS , WAY faster setup/packup time and 6 men squads. Good job Relic, the russian whiners moaned so much that mg42 is now opposite of what it was ... useless. I bet next unit we will see nerfed is Elephant because its too cheap and hampers the very hard skill su85 strategy .... In: COH2 Balance
