Germany lost the war. Multiplayer games are not a reproduction of historical events, thus the only conclusion you can draw is that Germany would lose, because they lost the war. If you are saying they wouldn't lose, please point me in the direction that shows historical information proving that the specific battle was won by Germany.
The events you see ingame aren´t battles, like the Battle for Stalingrad, but rather local events within those battles. Actually it happened quite a lot that a village had to be attacked by Allied forces several times. Germans achieved local victories. For example the Battle for Villers Bocage was first won by the Germans.
Nukes were not used in Europe, but America had access to them and had the means to deploy them in Europe. Germany had very few ostwinds ever built and yet you can have many of them existing in the game at once. Yet some of those must have fought. That could have happened. Americans fighting with Russians on a big scale didn´t.
Can you prove that an American and a Russian solder never ever fired a shot or threw a punch at a German or other axis soldier while together or in close proximity (same city / street / building or whatever). The first result on google for the definition of fight is " To attempt to harm or gain power over an adversary by blows or with weapons." Can you say with 100% accuracy that this never happened? Because if it happened once, then America fought with Soviets.
It never happened, as teh Americans stopped at the Elbe river. That´s actually why so many Germans at the end of the war tried to cross the river, to not get caught by the Soviets on the other side. There never ever was a large battle with Russians and US troops fighting the Germans together. Again this was due to the interest line - Elbe River. |
Great, another logical fallacy. The United States and Soviet Union were actually co-belligerents. Why are their Polish Partisans fighting with the soviet army in the multiplayer. Even though the Soviet Union later screwed them over. Yet I don't hear you complaining.
Ah, so the fact that USA and Soviet Union didn´t have anything to do with each other, didn´t fight together and the only thing that happened was that the US sent them supplies, is enough to match them together? Because of that invisible bond that they were Allies? |
then why cant us and soviet fight together? they were allies and their armies met up together in germany before the war was over.
Germany and Soviet Union were allied too at the start of the war. At least they worked together, splitting Poland and stuff. Why shouldn´t they be able to team up? What does make that scenario less laughable than US and Svoiet troops standing next to each other fighting? |
Again, over exaggerating.
Soviets fighting among US is stupid in the same way. Imagine a nice duell between a Tiger and an IS-2. And then a Hellcat comes by and finishes it? Incredibly dumb. |
You're making this seem too ridiculous as if it was Germans and Americans fighting soviets. It's not like that at all. They were co-belligerents. We should take out moscow outskirts from multiplayer since the game takes place in 1944 right? Same with the majority of the maps. It's a video game, not a documentary or some movie.
A map name is different to a whole faction. Moscow outskirts could also be some village in Poland in 1944.
A whole faction alongside another who never ever fought together is stupid.
Imagine you have a nice European looking map and suddenly while you are chasing off the Germans from that Belgian village in the snow, the Japanese start a Banzai charge! Yeah, cool! I´m in the middle of WW2. (- And at this point, the gaming experience is so fucked up, that I wouldn´t even mind nazi ufos flying over the map and dropping laser beams.) |
Hey, this game is about fun only and not a tiny bit about history? Okay, we need the Maus! Just imagine how much fun you could have with that super tank! Fuck it, if we go retard, we will go full retard!
Sorry, but that´s just my feeling. Some historical context was what kept me playing this game, even though it wasn´t quite realistic, it had some basic rules: Like Panther > T-34. It also had immersion. All gone...
I honestly doubt I will continue playing then. |
^Great way to take one picture and take the whole war out of context.
In fact Soviets and Americans never fought alongside. They had as a matter of fact to meet at the Elbe river. But never ever fougth together.
Here, a German Officer meeting his Soviet counterpart in Poland. They never fought alongside! But hey, here´s a picture taken totally out of context! Soviets + Germans vs USA NOW! |
So the Americans have been announced. As it seems, there will be the possibility to match Americans and Soviets into one team. I´d like to have a poll on this, to see how many people are for that or against that.
Personally I think it´s silly and doesn´t fit a game with a historic content. In fact it destroys the atmosphere of the game.
Please give your opinions about this. |
Yeah, in a custom match. You can already play Soviets vs Soviets if you make a custom match. Do not panic, they won't do Ami's vs Soviets in automatch.
Because that would be so much worse than seeing Russians + USA in one team? I will stop to panic if they announce that 2v2 ranked don´t get fucked up by this stupid matching. |
If it doesn´t matter that Soviet Union and USA fight together on the same front, why not make different maps? Like: Spain! Australia! South America!
Either you go full retard or you don´t.
I´m not buying the game without an authentic mode, which restricts Sov + USA games. Keep that for custom games, but not ranked 2v2 +. |
