I believe that the anti-DLC commander whiners, some of which spend hours complaining, are mostly teenagers that want to preserve their weekly allowance dollars.
Hell, I'm a student who lives on a weekly allowance. I really don't mind spending a couple of bucks on a game I play so much. So I really don't think that's much of an excuse. A commander that gives me hours of enjoyment is well worth the price of a soda.
I like new commanders. I am willing to pay for said new commanders. I hope they add more commanders, which I will then buy. That money goes to pay Relic employees, who in turn make more commander or even better, more factions. It's a win-win for everybody except those who feel entitled to have everything for free.
Just thought I'd spread some news on Pqusieh's post on the main forums. When responding to a post about Rifles good long range damage he posted:
"Good post Toma, this is something we're looking into. We're aiming to have each unit better reflect their intended performance with regard to their effective range, its being tested right now."
Seems like infantry and range effectiveness will be getting adjusted next patch. Riflemen for sure.
Was content made after the games release: OK to sell
Was content made before the games release: Not OK to sell
This is my biggest gripe. The unlockable western front commanders should have just bean uncommon drops. Any content added after would have been ok to sell and add as rare drops.
So it seems like they are going with the original plan of purchasable commanders being very rare drops. The real issue is they didn't make them purchasable from the get go.
Too bad they got rid of the timed drops. I thought they were a nice way to give players a demo of commanders without winning full access. They just needed to be charges instead of timed.
What time will it be in Australia when these are released? My credit card is waiting.
Seeing as the western front armies commanders are going into rotation, I would say that there is atleast a week until they change anything. I doubt there would give the commanders free at the same time as making it purchasable.
