See "Magic The Gathering Netdecking" for more details. Hopefully it's implemented right. From the looks of it it seems like the abilities will be catogorized as such that you can't just choose any 5. I don't think i've ever seen a multiplayer game that allowed you to pay in-game for a sudden advantage. Except maybe those crappy iphone games. In: Lobby

MG-42 has problems doing its job vs allied infantry MG-34 has the same problem (Although for very cheap) M2HB Gets squished by gren and ober blobs DsHK Not very high suppression and expensive to boot. MG42 and 34 should be better at its role. M2HB and DsHK damage output should be way higher. (12.7x99 & 12.7x108mm) Two different classes of weapon between the sets of two. Rifles wont be able to get a grenade off as long as you start firing on them on the first 1/3 of the arc. This is much worse on the allied side seeing as grens can fire a grenade at every range no matter what and volks have grenades no matter what. Allies need to invest in them which means they might not always be available. In: COH2 Balance

But if they don't one-shot regular squads, they don't hurt blobs all that much either. Area effect isn't really a counter except for huge ones like democharges or artillery. There are other ways of buffing units then more aoe and damage. Things like increased reload and rate of fire for instance. I for one find heavy artillery ineffective for their cost. Considering you pay a heavy tank cost, they really don't feel as effective as heavies. In: COH2 Gameplay
