Then is hoping miraculously to wipe infantry for free with his 222, and if you happen to lose a 222, you build another one. Then you come in and cry about how soviets are op because a penal in scout car reached your mg and killed it before you could retreat (sure)... or that one T34/85 does too much damage to your that one tiger you rushed thinking it's an ace unit, something you just win with. Oh my god, you just descriribed my last opponent to a T. Used that exact same strat, and then whined OP allies. In: COH2 Balance

A proper "rock-paper-scissors" match up where each position is key? Tanks cover infantry, infantry covers support weapons, support weapons cover infantry/tanks. That sounds almost like combined arms use with positioning and mobility being important. It sounds.... dynamic. (Note, a fair amount if missing; I could go on for a lot longer. I might make a separate thread). No it sounds like you ground the games pace down to a halt, where everyone sits behind layers of mgs and mortars. In: COH2 Balance

Germans were slaughtered.5 Jul 2016, 14:23 PM The exploitable combined arms bug and broken mortar are obviously going to inflate USF winrates for those that exploit it as well as lower axis winrates across the board. Hopefully we get a small balance patch to deal with the mortar now, so we can get a good idea of what actual balance should look like, if they didn't totally screw everything up at the last second. I don't think you are using them right. there are three ways to use them 1. Backup for penals or snipers to chase away light vehicles until vehicles arrive, also using merge to keep up dps 2. screens for maxims and AT guns so you have vision and your enemy can't flank as easily, also merge to keep your MGs holding ground 3. Con spam with ppsh and molotovs everywhere, with rapid conscriptions to keep the cons coming None of these ever require your cons to actually be as good as the unit they are facing. You either support heavy hitters and support weapons, or use commander abilities to outnumber your opponent. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Time for Commander Buffs4 Jul 2016, 20:40 PM I've been experimenting with the less popular of wher commanders lately, and honestly there is nothing "bad" about them. The abilities themselves aren't all that bad, and all provide some decent benefit. I just don't think they are as popular because they aren't as well rounded or provide call-ins that you can use to save yourself. Ambush camo in particular i found to be pretty awesome, it basically gives you grens extra alpha damage every time you are engaged from cover, which can make a real difference. And successful pgren ambushes are almost garenteed wipes, but are a bit harder to pull off since you have to hold fire and watch them. None of them are really on the level of say recon, where using the commander is actually worse then not using a commander at all. They are just a little boring and usually leave you relying entirely on core units, which isn't all that bad. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Opinions on M8A1 Scott in new patch4 Jul 2016, 20:24 PM It's decent. Good if there is too much AT guns and other AT that you can't use shermans. Best used in pairs. Even with the HP buff it's a pain to micro around. Kind of wish they would've just gave it more range to parallel other late game indirects, but it's still well balanced in it's own right. Best strat for them is to go mechanized with double stuarts. Your opponent will buy AT guns and schreks but then you can retreat them and build dual M8s. His AT will be pretty much useless.
