ZiS-3 is worse at its job then any other ATG for the cost and it has lowest AT DPS out of them all. sorry to pop ur bubble but the zis gun does 160dmg like every other at gun. the lack of penetration is made up for by its 6 man squad to improve its durability. anddddddd the soviet does not have weaker units. non doc only t1- penals can slug it out with any non doc axis infantry during mid early game t2- zis gun barrage op t3- t70 is the BEST light tank in the game with its raw wiping power t4- if u think t34s are bad its a l2p issue. su85's low mobility is made up for by its self spotting ailibty+strong vet0 penetration. if u think Katyusha is trash, u obvs havent tried panzerwerfer. please, just stop this blatant ally fanboyism. the mods are in heavy favour of buffing allys and nerfing axis units. more obvs in the previous patch prior to IS nerf where brits dominated 1v1 tournaments while ally fanboys still screaming BUT AXIS OP!!!! Its as much light artillery as it is anti tank gun and it was used extensively in both its roles, its not relics fantasy, its probably most historical portrayal of usage of unit we have in CoH2. 45mm and 57mm were soviet dedicated ATGs in WW2. this is blatant ally fanboyism. this is a rts GAME, has nthing to do with historical accuracy. the zisgun is the soviet ANTITANK gun, not a arty piece. there is no other AT gun in the game that has the ability to throw out nukes to counter inf while having the ability to anti tank as well. this ability needs to be nerfed. if we r talking about history, the zis gun should not be able to penetrate the tiger 2 at all frontally and obvs that is not the case here. Prenerf TWP allowed u to basically secure a kill on any medium with double pak and a single TWP. Zis barrage is just as dangerous as prenerf TWP as it has lethal accuracy/scatter and can usually wipe a full health support weapon crew in 2 shells (only 1 shell needed vs wounded squads.) As well, zis barrage loads basically instantaneously while there is a significant delay for TWP meaning it's nearly impossible for counterplay for zis barrage. this x100. zis barrage needs to be removed or arm axis at guns with nukes In: COH2 Gameplay

They work wonders vs setup teams. The maxims packup time and setup time have been changed its nowhere near as mobile as before. The maxims supression and aoe suppression are weaker then most mg,s esp the axis mg,s. Soviet units with few exceptions are only good when doubled up or even spammed imo. Esp in big game modes. Because flanking in those maps is next to impossible they spamm them. the maxim set up/pack up time is still way superior compared to axis HMGS. when spammed it can even supress large blobs of axis infantry. i disagree with wehr having a better mortar as soviet mortar is 6 man and will out barrage a wehr mortar everytime. along with the zis gun firing nukes, the state of soviet weapon team spam is unhealthy. the soviet mortars also have flare at rank 1 (IIC). if u look below this thread an ally fanboy just made a thread about buffing zis gun barrage. i would like to see how ally players feel when my pak40 can fire nukes as well In: COH2 Gameplay

(thinking about it you have 4 new posts in total... just by chance you are him personally...) no i am not him but i just think this soviet team weapon spam issue needs to be looked at in general esp in team games(which i play mainly). a lot of ppl think maxim and zisgun are trash which is completely not the case when u pair them with a 6 man squad. (maxim SQUAD members can actually kill stuff). i would like bring how unfair the soviet team weapons are esp the zis gun into the spot light since most of the fourm are ally fanboys crying about "axis OP" even though allys have higher win rate in team games. this is especially apparent in the last patch (prior to the IS nerf) where brit DOMINATED 1v1 tournaments while ally fanboys still screaming axis OP.
