I said be specific. That means specific and concrete figures. Try again.
LoL, how much more specfic do you want? I told you exactly what should be changed and implemented?
I think at this point you have just started trolling. I think the convo is over |
So far your supporting arguments have included that you are a US citizen and lived 2 years in Germany.
Gj.
I have given you factual and historical references. Yes, it is wiki but I would be happy to find and post many others here. |
One Corps sized failed drop by Soviets= heavily used.
Ok dude!
You are the one who is surpriswd airborne drops are not prevalent in CoH2 which portrays the Eastern Front, derp!
Ps:I lived 5 years in Moscow and 4 in Hamburg and have served in the military up to reserve officer rank.
Your basis for argument is hereby trumped and disqualified.
I dont care what your qualifications are, what you stated was flat out wrong. Both Russians and Germans employed airborne troops on the eastern front. I gave you a small reference; you can feel free to try and disprove it with other references, but all you will find is support of what I have already told you, because thats the historical facts. Happy hunting. |
I have not tried to assess whether there were airborne operations at the eastern front, but I tried to make clear that using wikipedia links isnt a viable source for your argumentation. Clearly, they did not teach you this during your two year study in Germany. Besides this, you really seem to know all about war history...
I did not use the link as a be all end all, but had I just said "hey I know more, its this way" with NO reference behind it, I would look a bit more foolish. The fact that I know, even without some wiki link, that airborne forces were employed on both fronts does me no good if I am just saying I am an expert over a computer forum. |
mjsegaline: what exactly is your suggestion for T34. Be specific.
Well, I agree with you that it should not be a direct counter or even equal to the p4. But being that it is the heaviest tank in its tier, and once commiting to t3 it takes a while before ever getting out an su85, it needs to be able to hold its own against tanks. I think a slight increase in penetration and a major reduction in fuel cost. Leave the armor the same.
That sticks with the russian doctrine of weaker but cheaper and more in number |
I am sorry to dissapoint you, but the internet as a whole is not considered a viable and usable source for these type of subjects either. May I suggest you try reading books and articles instead?
Read whatever you want, it is a historical fact that airborne forces were heavily used throughout the entire war on both fronts. I can give you hundreds of accounts, I can sit here all day with you. War history is my thing and I have traveled the world, including living in Germany for two years studying it. You are talking to the wrong guy about this, I can assure you. |
Sure, if you don't have the balls to post a replay.
What's your Steam name?
Mjsegaline on steam, add me. id be happy to play you |
I cant believe I have to explain to a 27 year old that a wikipedia link is not considered a decent and usable source.
You simply dont know the credentials of the people that write on such a website. For example, it could be you that wrote a part of that page...
LOL I can not tell you how many people who have been discredited by information readily available on the internet say that exact same bullshit. Look up the battles mentioned. Look at credible sites. Airborne forces were used by both sides on the eastern front, its a fact. Please stfu |
What makes you think he is supporting you.
Because he quoted you and then told you that the t34 is not cost effective... Man you have a real reading problem |
Its the SAME DROP.
This is the most inane statement from you yet. Kindly, leave.
Does one LARGE airborne operation still not discredit your comment that there were NO airborne forces on the easter front? I did not even include the german luftwaffe airborne commandos on the eastern front. |
