Well you are asking the wrong person, because I find coh2 boring as fu#@. Coho online had so many ridiculous op strats/abilities/units but it was loads of fun and most op things could be balanced out in the meta due to having so many options to craft your army. Coh2 has barely any real options and anything deemed to be op, or even moderately too good gets the balls cut off it. This seems double for the German side as german units tend to get nerfed into uselessness, then only after an uproar gets buffed to mediocrity. |
This is why Im done with coh2. I'm tired of the doctrine of cutting the balls off units and abilities, and then buff them back up to mediocrity. |
Why don`t we make ostruupen = cons grens = penal and make PGrens doctrinal 5 man squad. And then everyone can stop whining and finding reason to nerf/buff specific infantry on both sides? Love those ideas |

No, panther is also good against infantry thanks his mg42, frontal gun and Blitkrieg ("f**k the history" ability)... wich make your panther faster than V1, making simple to crush infantry...
After reading lot of books about WW2, especially Normandy battle (I'm french and i live in Normandy =D), this game lakes historical truth. The Panther was the fastest tank in the war, also a brilliant Anti Tank weapon but clearly 2 T-34/76 or 2 Shermans (75mm one)(at short range!*) could handle it with ease...wich is not the case in this game ; The panther with its AWESOME Frontal armor is really hard to take down.

they added depth/fun to the game, not a lot of people actually used them but still you had the option. Coh2 is a borefest with very few options. |

What am I missing? Panthers have to suicide rush cheaper Su 85s to compete, yet all I here is how Soviets have no at. If the panther got nerfed there would not be anything other then tiger/elefant to keep from getting steamrolled, especially when there is more than one su 85. |
My original post said the tiger is ok, the last poster is arguing against the fictional statement "the tiger is garbage". Besides, the topic is on overall amount and quality of call ins, not the utility of the tiger. The tiger is a decent tank, but i'll take an isu 152 any day, but that's also beside the point. The main point is ost docs may have one decent call in, and all other call ins really have 0 shine to them. This may change in future docs, but the pattern for ost seems to be ONE unit to make the whole doc purposeful as opposed to Sov docs, where there are up to 3 call ins, all which can make their presence felt on the battlefield. |
....? 3 su 85s focus firing on one panther will eat it alive then work on the second just as easy. Long before 2 can do enough damage to one Su 85. Also is2 can be beat by a panther but a panther can do very little/no vs inf. Give panther is2 anti infantry ability and you can have your is2 anti tank ability. |
