It temporarily increases the damage done to a vehicle. So use it when you're fighting something heavy like a Tiger, or if you want to get the edge in a fight that would otherwise be 50/50. Bear in mind that it only increases damage done, and not penetration (iirc), so if you're not dealing enough damage to a target because you're simply not penetrating, it won't help you. |
We are stuck with people that have agenda's to benefit their faction and this is the result.
I doubt people like Sib, VonIvan and Cruzz have such agendas because they are top level players, and top level players play both Axis and Allies. They have to if they want to stand a chance in tournaments. |

I think it should get a health buff, but also a speed nerf (perhaps like the Brit trucks?). It shouldn't be too easy to destroy a would be tech building, but it also REALLY REALLY REALLY shouldn't be used in the first minutes to push infantry around. It's just ridiculously stupid gameplay. If the OKW needs it to have a chance in the early game (which I doubt), then give them something else, but not something as stupid as a pushing truck.
Another option would be to give it an initial speed nerf, but then buff its speed back to what it is now when you've got at least one truck set up (like grenades that become available when the first truck sets up). That way you won't have the push truck in the early early game, which is really the only point where pushing is relevant. |
^That's utter bullshit. It takes 110 fuel for OKW to rush out a Puma. It takes over 320 to get 2 T34s. |
Sorry but no. OKW is the weakest of all the factions.
Saying that Soviet need to rely on cheese is an over statement as well. Maybe in low level 3v3 mode play. The truth is Soviet are very strong in all of the modes.
I'm at a fairly high level as 1v1 Soviet and the only way I know to beat OKW as Soviets is by cheesing. I lost 8 games in a row when I was trying more normal builds. |
All these calculation you people made here will not reflect in real life where a soviet player will storm with several T34s against your 1 - maybe 2 nerfed pumas.
Several T34s shouldn't be able to storm your Pumas, since your Pumas are way faster. Also, if the Soviet managed to get say 3 T34s, he wasted 300 fuel for the T34s + 120 for T3 and then some for T1 or T2. You should easily have a JagdPanzerIV and a Puma by that time, which will win that engagement every single time. |
3) You don't need to close in with PGs, that's a mistake a lot of people make. PGs should be fighting at mid range, not close range. They're great when used at that distance and are still a pretty much standard unit in my build order.
5) I actually like this tank a lot still. Yes, Easy Eights are far better, but playing as Wehrmacht you have PaKs to support your PIVs. E8s are still a pain in the ass, but that's because E8s are too cheap (all call-ins for that matter), not because PIVs weak.
16) The light infantry gun is probably the best infantry based indirect fire unit in the game. Ever noticed its huge range? How is that the same thing as the Wehr mortar? Also don't forget that it's a lot safer for OKW to put that thing fairly close to the front, since you can just park it next to your medic truck.
25) Why the hell buff the JagdPanzerIV. It's by far my favorite tank destroyer, it's not at all outclassed by an SU85 and with little support (and the right map) can actually take on 2 T34-85s.
26) Is it? My IS-2s seem to miss everything when I'm using them, and I still like playing with Tigers. Haven't had a IS2 vs Tiger matchup in ages though, so not sure how they compare. But I still think its a great unit, and like most call-ins actually too strong for its cost (since it doesn't require teching).
29) The last thing US needs is a Pershing. US already has great infantry, giving them great tanks as well would be ridiculous.
30) Grenadiers are awesome against Soviets, I really don't see why they need a buff. Gren spam atm is far more viable than con spam, and its not because grens suck.
31) Never had any problem with this vehicle tbh. I've actually heard it being called the best light tank in the game, but I haven't played enough with it to confirm that.

I think that what he means is that when you're facing a unit with armor, you can decide to bring in a weapon with decent penetration. So if you see a shock, you try to engage it with your MG42 because it will penetrate it (of course the more obvious reason to do that is because you want to suppress it, but that's beside the point).
Now when you're fighting a unit with reduced incoming accuracy, it doesn't matter what you choose to fight it with. Everything will be equally affected by the reduced incoming accuracy. |
