Cons are fine. In fact they are too effective at being multipurpose. Molo is too cheap, oorah negates gren effectiveness immediately , insanely cheap to reinforce, Can merge. What more do you want?
They are fine against Wehr. They're absolutely shit against OKW unfortunately. That's the problem though, you can't just buff conscripts because it will fuck up Wehr vs Soviet balance, but as long as they won't be buffed we'll only see Maxims and call-in units against OKW :/ |

PGs and Sturm Pios are pretty decent against Shocks tbh, provided you put them in cover and let the Shocks storm you, which they will, because they are absolute shit at any range longer than melee range. But yes, most squads will die to a Shock, but then again a Shock can't do shit against anything other than infantry. They're good units in certain situations, but far from OP. If you manage to lose multiple squads to one Shock you really need to learn to find the retreat button. |
Making the gun ramp up in the first few seconds doesn't just nerf its offensive capability, but also its defensive capability. Unlike the MG42/34 it has a very small cone and the gun completely relies on being able to pack up and set up again quickly. I'm afraid your suggestion would just nerf the unit into the ground. |
The few times I tried engaging a JP with an SU-85 in 1on1 I had to back off with the SU-85. Not sure if that was just bad luck but it seems like the JP wins that engagement.
Also, I don't really get why people are saying that JP isn't a good tank for OKW? It's one of my favorite units in OKW. I destroyed two T34-85s with one JP4, a schrek and some micro, and the same shit happens to me when I try to destroy the JP4 with T34-85s. Its frontal armor is so thick that you really need to flank the thing, which is very risky considering that OKW has such great infantry based AT support, and spammable mines. |
A Maxim has 6-men crew, not 4. It is harder to handle with a sniper.
Stop this myth. The Wehr sniper has a higher ROF than the Soviet sniper to compensate for the bigger squad sizes that Soviets have. |
Why don't people give the changes a few days of testing before they spout, the world is ending because Change log says so, bullshit.
If you'd read the posts in this thread you'd know I've already tried it out and it really does suck. |
Retain letha... But... The super lethality is the problem! Why retain it? Yes, give Kat more damage vs tanks, yes yes! But give my infantry a chance to live!
The patch notes may say its lethality is retained, but it really isn't. Last match I played the Kat was the same old joke as it was a while ago. It tickles infantry at best. |
Thanks, that's pretty cool |
Well probably none of you guys met the combo I met (katiushas + B4 + recon) and experiment on your skin B4 + katiushas air coordinated strikes on your advanced hq buildings and on your infantry near them. Sure, it is a nice tactical idea, but that leaves okw with no chance. Something must be done though, so then nerf katiusha. I was asking for the "lightest" way by at list not allowing enemy plane to coordinate such deadly strikes....
The problem is the Katyusha/B4, not the recon plane. It's not like you need LOS to fire effectively at a static truck. |
^That. Any other faction needs to build a unit specifically for the purpose of gaining AA, while OKW more or less gets it for free cause you're going to build T4 anyway.
Also, if there's artillery around, disable the retreat point at T2. |
