If you see a Panther, never attack it with armor, SU-85 will bounce alot from Panthers frontal armor, so basically get a 1 or 2 AT guns and place them behind your tanks, so when the Panther comes to attack your tank, you have a AT gun backing it up, Panthers suck vs AT guns and are great vs enemy tanks (Plz dont use Industry since Relic is fixing the commander, and in december you can use it without the Manpower penalty and you have a Good KV-2 with it)
1- best starting close combat unit (Sturms) with a price decreased
2- best stock elite infantry (Obers) cheapest ammo cost/effective LMG
3- best pop out from building elite infantry (falls) full dps right from the bat
4- best pop out from building sniper squad (Jaegers) full dps right from the bat
5- best long range survivability/dps squad (pfuss) upgrade requiring cheap munition cost
and now
-6 mainline base infantry squad IA dps buffed and still having shreck upgrade at disposal for the same price
-7 Let's do not forget the only vehicle which is cheap and fuel free having good AI dps, fast capping power and good front and back armor.
Additionally, T1 flak-HT, T2 Luch that not going to be restricted anymore. And still Raken in T0.
If we compare it with USF, it is like putting ATgun TO with no restriction and T1 freely unlocking Zooks, grenades and ambulance.
Volks supported by kubel/sturm are now going to go toes to toes with rifles. Good good.
So my question is what are the OKW drawbacks? Where are the crucial choices you need to take in order to build your strategy if anything is available whenever you go T0/T1 or T0/T2?
Whenever you go T0/T1 or T0/T2 you have ATgun and good AI vehicles. The only decision you make are:
Do I want shreck or puma to support my Raken
Do I want ISG or Walking Stuka to arty
Do I prefer Flak-HT or Luch for IA support
Do I prefer heal station or repair station (for free)
Nothing really about decision making that impact your gameplay like
Sov going T1 or T2 (aggressive no AT or defensive relying only on cons + callin) + what upgrade to unlock and in which order
Ostheer skipping T1 or T2 (or not but this is the army flavor)
USF going T1 or T2 (AI or AT) + what upgrade to unlock and in which order
Dont worry, most of Axis units consist of 4 men, and Axis players are always complaining about their 4 men getting wiped, so everything is ok and balanced
There are several examples of Close the pocket doing its job on Youtube, It can basically end the game in your favour, but it has to be used with good coordination, to get the best results
What...but...oh well..The Issue on COH 1 was that people preferred to get the 600mp Sherman calliope with a working main gun, instead of investing fuel and mp for a normal sherman, but it seems that the problem has been avoided in COH 2 even before the release of the unit...
those axis players i remember a year ago when i asked for calliope , they said :
''no no you already have the m8 scott''
(where in the pudding the scott performs like a katyusha or walking stuka ??? ) are u f#$%g serious ?
but hey there we go pershing and calliope are out!!
1 Year ago the M8 scott wiped squads, by just landing that 1 lucky RNG hit in the middle of the enemy squad, but you dont see that unit anymore in the USF META so i guess Relic "Fixed" it
Does anyone find that the IL2 strafe deals lots of damage to infantry but prefers to not kill models outright?
I've been on the receiving end of IL2 strafes where a full vanilla gren squad gets hit by a full burst but only reduces squad HP to half.
well the IL-2 strafe that seeks its targets deal only 8dmg per hit, but there is the other one with ADVANCED WARFARE that sprays the target area with bullets doing 20dmg, but you need to be very skilled to make it work, so that it actually deals damage to its targets, since it shoots all over the place
Considering how the last OKW commander released is terrible and the USF one is okay, I am not going to complain about P2W until the stats for these commanders are released.
Axis players have complained about Soviet democharges for a long time, i bet that Goliath will have some insane AOE with 340dmg, that wipes all infantry and can only be detected by a minesweeper, if it stays still
