The Easy Eight is already kinda accurate on itself because of low scatter.
Consider the 76mm has 150 far penetration and 3.26 second reload at vet 3, while a vet 3 Easy Eight has 155 far penetration but 5.29 second reload, it scales kinda lackluster comparatively. 215 armor also isn't that impressive against AT guns anyway. The extra hp is nice though.
Instead of penetration replacing accuracy, it could instead get a +5 range bonus at vet 2 (not replacing anything). Easy Eight is good when it arrives, but once late game full pop highly vetted armies kick in, you'Il wish you went with something more reliable against armor.
I think the other thing is this:
Do USF particularly care to have a "Brawler" tank to fight other tanks, when they could instead just get a Jackson to fight other Tanks, or a regular Sherman or 76mm for double-duty? It feels like one tank is always going to be somewhat surplus to requirement. Is there really a niche that needs to be filled?
Maybe you could turn it into some sort of "Command" tank... though I'm not sure whether that's a good idea, nor really suits the E8. |
I think it was a problem of not having the proper animations for either recrewing support weapons or pick up dropped weapons which defaulted in many T position or simil, models.
MG: the difference is lethality compared to AT guns vs Tanks relationship. After 5s a medium tank can almost be at 50% HP. Infantry behind cover can slug it out with MGs for quite a long time or render them ineffective if they have enough DPS.
It might be by design, but vetted units fair way too well against MG, because the crew doesn't get RA to offset the natural gain most infantry squads get at either vet 2 or vet 3.
And that was caused by WFA? Or was it a longstanding issue that Lelic only rectified with WFA?
Perhaps Weapons crews ought to GET some decent RA through vet, then? I doubt it'll help vs deathloops, but it might be nice for all MGs to remain very good against infantry. The counter to MGs is indirects (Rocket or otherwise) and vehicles. There's not much reason for infantry to be able to beat any of them. |
OK, I can take back what I said. No link to the playercard on your profile led me to make bad calls.
BUT, I still wonder why you take specifically Ostheer's "unbalanced" units as any more broken than other faction's.
Really every faction has some overperforming units, and some underperforming ones. Ostheer is in the enviable position of generally having units that perform well, with a couple outliers that are a little "too" strong. Perhaps that is why. Or alliabooing. Could be a combination of either.
I wrote a little thing about the other factions too but it's not really relevant to the thread so i deleted it.

Don't assume the Easy Eight simply replaces the M4 and that your only option is to spam it. I'd advise getting a single M4 first and only then going for Easy Eights. HE rounds are too powerful to pass up on and there's also the timing factor.
The Easy Eight provides much more safety against mediums than the M4, but I'd still back them up with AT guns, also because of the threat of heavier targets.
The time it takes for an Easy Eight to kill a skirted P4 at long range is:
4*(234/155)*6.55 = 40 seconds
The time it takes for a P4 to kill an Easy Eight at long range is:
5*(215/110)*5.75 = 56 seconds
The time it takes for an M4 to kill a skirted P4 at long range is:
4*(234/100)*6.05 = 56 seconds
The time it takes for a P4 to kill an M4 at long range is:
4*(160/110)*5.75 = 33 seconds
As you see, the roles pretty much reverse if you put an Easy Eight up against a P4, instead of an M4.
If I'd change anything about the Easy Eight, is its veterancy. It should get +25% penetration like the 76mm instead of +30% accuracy, because it doesn't scale particularly well against heavier tanks. No point in having high accuracy on a 40 range brawler tank.
The high accuracy is supposed to help it maintain DPS while moving though, isnt it? Combined with the generic USF superior moving accuracy. I get the impression its supposed to be more "Hit and run" than "Brawler" |
They will ignore you and use catchphrase like "L2P" or use slurs to cover their bias. I hope someday this community put their bias other side and act fair.
I already gave him accurate feedback. |
Those abilities are already being addressed in Sander's suggestions list.
I've seen, and while the changes are certainly better than the current iteration of the abilities, I still think getting away from it revolving around losing models would be good. Even in that form the ability is going to be very clunky and strange.
I mean, perhaps you both know better than I, but I'd like to try and provide feedback where I can, anyway. |
My proposal was a debuff while out of cover, there still plenty of cover on maps to let them run at normal speed.
But the capture rate nerf or speed debuff only on neutral/enemy territory are also something interesting to dig in.
I stand with the idea to remove 5men gren the pfaust. I see the 5men gren squad as an elite variant of the squad and as any elite infantry squad: no pfaust/atnade available to them.
5man grens aren't really at "Elite squad" level. It's a very good upgrade, but calling them "elite" is perhaps going a little far. A weapons upgrade removing a squad's snare is also a bit unusual, the only other example of this I can think of is the Panzerfusilier's Shreck upgrade removing their AT grenade... which is understandable. A reduction or removal of the squad's extra RA bonus would really be better, in my opinion. |
hmm yeah you're probably right. noob error I guess
To be fair, I don't think there's any sort of indication that your BGHQ stops working properly if it's not connected to your base sector, nor is this mentioned anywhere.
I made the same mistake when i first started playing, it really only seems obvious in hindsight. |
They aren't going to do that. It would make things too hard for Axis players. Look at how thwy needlessly nerfed the Jackson and have done nothing about Panzergren blobs.
Please stop making the same post over and over. The Jackson is still one of, if not the best TD in the game. |
Maxim do have tripod animations already and model of it. Its used when maxim is placed in cover.
It's not the same animation as the MG34/42/vickers. It's not a case of it being a "tripod", it's a case of it neeeding to use exactly the same animation set as the 34/42/vickers. The maxim isn't able to do that. |
