If you get afk/droppers/horrible teammates in placement games you're fucked. Then your ELO is trash and it's a vicious cycle of horrendous experiences. I don't think this describes how the elo system works. As far as I am aware the elo is linked to the team in these games and even if your elo did drop the matchmaker would then be trying to hook you up with a teammate with higher elo to offset your low score. Thread: Fallschirmjaegers: A small re-design9 Aug 2015, 16:58 PM I find their ability to Faust combined with building spawn very inconvenient when using katushkas. It's almost impossible to stop them appearing killing the katushkas and hitting retreat to escape. You have to resort to demoing all buildings. It's too easy a counter to these high fuel units which should need to be properly flanked or artilleried. If they retain ambient spawn I think they should lose Faust or gain it at vet 1 In: COH2 Gameplay

This may represent a settling of the new meta and balance and will continue but I think it's a little early to say - a couple more weeks of data should clarify things I think This is not to say I necessarily believe things are balanced but which way it really lies is not clear. The claim that soviet are very strong seems credible but then lots of posters have been claiming that U.S. Are now hopeless. 'Today's' stats make a mockery of this. In: COH2 Balance

It's excellent as a soldiers account but also helped me flesh out details of Anzio and the campaign in southern France which broader accounts have failed to do for me. It's also an extraordinary story if survival and very readable and entertaining to boot. Written by Alex kershaw. For large scale analysis Absolute War about soviet/axis war was fascinating focusing on the ideological nature of the eastern front battle and how the two powers handled it. I know Quinn Duffy drew on this heavily - it includes the account of a t34 ram destroying a tiger and has a lot of detail on the stuff that our Russian friends found so objectionable due to their referencing in game.
