its the only option OKW has, but sadly they are bad.
P4 is a minute 15 medium which has not the power to deal good in really lategame. (mostly teamgames)
KT is on most maps and most teamplays a useless punchingball bullied by so good AT options from allies.
to slow, to slow turret, to many TD and other AT option which means it is more in repair than on front. thats why you never see a KT in most games in high ranks. only some maps are ok for it.
KT with panzer commander and Spearhead has over 60 vision, while JP4 can cover it and deal with TDs. Good scatter, really good oneshotkill radius. Just don't yolo it like a medium.
p4 is great at any stage, like almost any medium for any faction, but Cromwell, if UKF teched for Comet. It is kind of expensive to replace, but in terms of its capabilities, especially AI, it is pretty high up there. |
enlight me pls...which great AI option has OKW in lategame? p4?
a KT?
?
you answered your question. Both options are top tier options in their respective class. |
they obviously gave a shit their own people, asides from the virtue of fighting a war for their entire existence, examples like the siege of leningrad and many other evacuation attempts show that they did care. their military actions in the early war were acts of desperation to stop an enemy who exploited the incredible blunders of the early red army.
If you want to have some insight what USSR was like to its people, read about Konstanty Rokossowski or Ieronim Uborevich. Both Soviet Generals one became a legend, the other was shot.
Also I highly doubt that regime executing its citizens by the thousands and thousands and going as far as creating artificial famine, is one that could be described as "caring for its people". Yes, there were great generals and honorable heroes, men who fought for survival of their people, but have no illusions about the USSR "establishment" and its Communist Party. |
the campaign does not have stalin as any sort of relevant figure within the game
the campaign features a story plot that is completely made up to portray the soviets as an Asiatic horde of uncivilized savages, who only won the war because of their endless numbers and their complete lack of regard for human life. this IS NOT "oh the commies were akhully evil thus campaign is woke", this is spitting in the face of those who gave their lives away in order to defeat the most evil regime in Europe
Not only is a lot of the game fictionalized propaganda, but Isakovich is a pussy and should've shot himself
USSR gave little to no crap for live of their soldiers and citizens, especially during early stages of the war. Actually in campaign the whole SOV power structure was portraited as evil, not the soldiers. But Relic, instead of investing time learning history and facts, they invested time in watching "Enemy at the Gates"... So they pretty much did a disservice to how actually violent USSR was by painting it as simple dumb evil. |
Probably VSL, Sturmtiger, Penals, Comet and so on nerfs were mistakes then, thx for clearing this out.
Also post rework Falls with fausts, 70 range ISU aka "autowin VP camper", pre nerf 7men cons, pre nerf heavy tanks aka "had my squad just evaporated?", no tech Command Panther. Seems like those needed a measured dose of l2p |
M8 scott, Pathfinder even Jdpanzer 4 thread have a same problem:
- IS this unit OP when it stand alone ?
- Is it OP due to the combination with another unit ? Why and proof ?
- Is it OP because of the natural invironment (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4), teamwork, L2P, player habits and the stat go with it ?
- Is it breaking faction core design, game design like.. ahem, OPtruppen... ?
- IS there any Static number, correct data about how OP it is ?.
- Solution and shit happen before and after the buff, nerf, changing ?.
read above. A lot of things was said why the unit is overperforming.
I'm tired of people being dismissive, downplaying faction strengths and sometimes straight up being rude. I even brought up several VODs, but it seems that everyone and their mom are playing better then those guys (Duffmann and Dirty_finisher).
I'd rather save my nerves and continue spamming Soviets on 2v2. |
That mean it hit unit inside building harder, not in green/yellow cover harder you fool
everything in bold is from September patch, Mr. Nice Guy
and from 0.2 to 0.3, 0.4 to 0.5. Everything stay in barrage which was harmless to inf blob, weapon spam and you think this is OP ?
Don't forget the far range from 3 to 5. It doesn't one shot now, but if spammed it deletes infantry. If you are not a "one screen - one army" player and not fast enough, your squads will die very fast from 2 or more Scotts.
here are exact numbers:
damage from 100/25/10 to 60/32/24
distance from 1/2/3 to 0.75/2/5
And please, stay polite. I did not insult you a single time. |
from Winter Balance Patch - Feb 26th 2021:
Auto-fire range from 60 to 50...
Basically compared to Winter patch we have now
Auto-fire range from 60 to 50
HE Barrage scatter max from 10 to 7
HE Barrage Damage from 100 to 80
HE Barrage AOE damage from 1/0.25/0.1 to 0.75/0.4/ 0.3
HE Barrage AOE distance from 1/2/3 to 0.75/2/ 5
HE Barrage Angle scatter from 7 to 6
HE Barrage shell count from 4 to 5
HE Barrage reload from 2.75/2.9 to 1.75/2.9
Damage modifier against garrisons increased from 0.25 to 0.5
|
Of course. That's why I said the Sherman is definitely better VS blobs...
I would say that the only thing is T34/76 best at, is dying. otherwise m4 is better and more efficient unit.
But...my initial point was, that USF have a top tier AI stock medium that is not used, because why would you, if you can barrage your opponent to death? No reason to build an AI medium tank and invest all that micro and attention in it, if you have much more efficient and less micro intensive option like Scott? |
Well just comparing the two in performance for teamgames and the T34 wins easily. Despite costing less fuel and munition, it still performs comparably against single squads of infantry, even better if the Sherman hasn't upgraded the pintle. The Sherman relies on the main gun for damage, as evidenced by your graph, so practically speaking the T34 is more reliable with damage against a single squad.
If you give t34 30 sec of shooting without moving, it might be better if M4A3 has no pitle. But everytime you move your tank, for example reversing to avoid a snare, your armor has to move and if it moves, MG DPS drops significantly, while cannon does not care, because it is almost always missing vs infantry. Also cannon gives no F about target size, while MGs definitely do, while having 5 more range. |
