If we talking rng, panthers poor moving accuracy also problem dealing with heavy armor allies. I don't see how Churchill main gun is crap dealing same 160 damage, but strawman. Something like a p4 will want to try flanking which exposes it sides armor which Churchill can pen. For most part, ukf and usf t4 locks out wehr t3. Yet wehr t4 can still be vulnerable to allies t3 In: COH2 Balance
Thread: UKF September patch discussion31 Aug 2019, 10:45 AM No i disagree. Your calculation only show over nerf if head to head with a panther. 120 will still dominate all other T3 tanks. By reducing damages, it balances out with more chance of axis T3 tank to pen it and drain hp. The same issue with reducing panther armor to allow T3 units to fight it. Why should Churchill concern with panther 1v1? Ukf have enough units to compose an army to support 120 Churchill main gun. should we make shreks 160 damage too, cos heck unit composition. But as you say, the boss have the last say. Those with powers wins and will never go back after publication, there are those who can trademark best spot ever or pat themselves with symbolic 5 fuel 'overperformance' penalty or just 'decent' 240/180/1400 survivability. But i believe in democratic freedom of speech, things may change for better or worse, just because we care. Trump may be president today, who knows what if next year. In: COH2 Balance

(comments not directed at balance team) At 19 pop cap, 2 Churchills and 2 RE's to repair them eat up 52 pop. Contrary to popular belief, that still leaves you with no reliable anti-tank. Add in a vickers, a Firefly, and two sections and then you're going to have to choose between another piece of AT, indirect, or another section. Still a damn strong composition. I will probably go indirect, with piat re 2x church hill is more than enough to deal with pak and infantry. Double 5 man tommy to do sweep up. Obviously ukf players are still comfortable with this slight change, they just need to watch the pop a little. But we all know double Churchill supported by FF and ATG is unkillable. I still say 120 damage reduction at 18pop. 19 pop have negliabe effect we all know that. In: COH2 Balance

Meanwhile pershin hvap round gets cheaper because usf don't have enough at.. I vote to change it to hvap. Because wehr do not have Jp4 to deal with allies heavy armor without distance advantage. Thread: USA September patch discussion31 Aug 2019, 05:46 AM The sbp changes to scott only gives axis a little more time to reposition, mainly wehr faction. You can still sit back to auto fire... But now it is faster to manual fire.... I think the scott problem is having a counter. It sits so far behind, have enough HP, speed and armor/target size, you cannot reliably kill it, so it is allowed to free range snipe infantry for massive damages. Sniper doesnt work this way... I think the popcap needs to go up in range as panzerwafer. At least it makes usf think twice of going double/triple scott in 2v2. Im surpised the mod team havent look into usf units popcap since they can do the in/out and free crew repairs.. In: COH2 Balance

It should either have it's base performance nerfed, or lose it's utilities. It's amazing how far the balance team have gone to avoid actually touching the Churchill's performance, same goes for Volksgrenadiere. Reduce churchill main gun to 120, revert pop to 18. Problem solve. Ukf will use it more as soaker and will want to build more AT. I guess give main gun a bit more pen, to get more favourably rng. maybe a +5 to all ranges. In: COH2 Balance

Panther needs to get in mid range to pen churchill... I like how such armor is considered only 'decent' ... Smoke is just so extra when it already have good vet buffs. At vet3 it can rotate and reposition like a t70...and vetting churchill is much easier because of its nature... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: UKF September patch discussion30 Aug 2019, 05:45 AM Changing pen and/or rof just adds frustration of more bounced shots rng. Dropping to 120 and keeping every thing same, you are still dealing support damages, just lesser killing blows without AT backup. 120 is still pretty lethal as long you are backed with true purposed AT.
