I don't get the logic players spam maxim because it is poor suppression?
Like spam happens only because it provides a good winning chance if played a certain manner.
Makin maxim stronger will make it get spam harder is more logical result..
Anyway i never said buff maxim is op or mg42 is up
What i want to remind is some love can be given to mg42 mid-late game performance, simply since allies infantry blob scales beyond mg42 intention. Maxim got free love now, when is mg42?
Some of you wrote as if maxim is useless unit. I dont think so. If you used as mg42, passively anticipate, set a backline cutoff, sure it is not as good as mg42.
But if you use it more aggressively further forward, it presents great problem for wehrboo infantry which are not as good countering team weapons |

Yes a good maxim player will deny resources to prevent a fast luch or 222 counter. And finish the game with their own fast t34. Perhaps those calling others to l2p, should try make use of maxim this way. Instead of crying no suppression or crying rifle nades kill them deathloop 101. |

I don't mind trying mg42 to be maxim clone as a trial.
At least i can match flanking allies squad with the good repositioning. I wont mind trying to drop allies model faster, reducing their dps some. |

The way some of you put it as if maxim cant suppress one bit. When others point out mg42 weak reposition times suspect to allies stronger infantry flanks, it is l2p.
How about those maximers l2p to make use of maxim fast reposition, high damages and higher model survival. Watch helpinghans play soviet maxim |

I did mean is2. Why should it get stronger front armor and the back armor is better than p4 pen? On vetted, it gains good abilities.
isu is another issue nowadays.
Same issue i said before, axis armor too strong, so nerf their rear to reward flanking. Yet IS, KV and Churchills are now the strongest armor tanks.
Wehrboos besides lack 60 range TD wall, their P4 is weakest pen values. E8, T3485. Even speedy cromwell, 0.75 accuracy shermans, works to flank better than P4. |

To be fair, im pointing mg42 because imo allies units get some buff while retaining their speciality flavor yet again.
People will say maxim/vickers are mg that cant suppress like mg should.
I say mg42 cant handle vetted allies blob like mg should. |
