Thread: I know why MG42 is underperforming much4 Oct 2019, 02:38 AM Probably applies to mg34 and vickers. But i tests mostly mg42 in cheatmod. The problem with mg42 seems to hit the ground more often than maxim and 50cal! Reminds me of old ostwind! Besides the inaccuracy, the pio support crew sucks most against 5 men mosin or the more deadly garand, in damaging models Every direct engagement between mg42 vs maxim or 50cal, alllies mgs win with 3-4 men left! Between mg42 and Vickers is close but the IS Enfield crew helps to edge it i also noticed mg42 has weird bursts, it can shoot for sometime and than pause of a long period. While maxim and 50cal fire more consistently timed burst. This makes recovery from pin or movements about easier from mg42 cone. So it has wider cone but less effective against multiple squad In: COH2 Balance

Only the pack up time is faster, so already halfway there I think maxim is slightly faster setup. But it is absurd it has not tear down counter apart from animations Anyway i tested the move speeds guess i was wrong. Cons and grens move at same speed or at least not clearly faster. Perhaps the bigger squad size looks as if first model touch the finish line first In: COH2 Balance

Hence i keep say wehr is worst late game faction, scaling unable to keep up, handicapped because they are seen as the ideal base faction. In: COH2 Balance

I don't think grens should lose all ra. I don't get the idea grens are the ideal mainline infantry that relic is afraid to buff them for free... In: COH2 Balance

Results of years of patch changes. Meaning no Faust is no longer the best cos Wehr! Still a small matter i can live without The big meta now is how cons outperform grens late games. The big ra vet needs to be reduced imo. Now vetted cons can bully vetted lmg grens with no way back. Cons are more likely to survive and reinforce cheaper than grens After you lose your vetted grens, wehr is hard to recover against 7man vet cons. Usf RM also outpower grens now. I mean im glad ukf IS was remade with recent patch. But the power creep of the other 2 allies mainline infantry is back to square 1 In: COH2 Balance

My theory is reconcile with my observation of faster cons move speed. Bigger target size covers more area. Etc. The above about faust shows the old misconception won't die. Its on Wehr so it must be the best! We already talk previously and conclude faust is not best or adequate for wehr. Pen values matter little cos health make snares. Homing faust dont matter cos it need los, moving into sight blocker and u wasted muni. Animations matter cos a drop model will reload the whole animations. In: COH2 Balance
