MG42 is fine, it may lose duels with other MGs but it's not within its roles to win such duels. Leave MG42 alone, it's especially good in teamgames when you can lock significant part of the map and smoke or indirect fire are obilgatory as you can't flank some MGs in their chokepoints. I agree but only starting vet0. Once allies infantry start scaling up with more man, more weapons, more reload, more ra and such. Mg42 shortfall i listed start manifesting more than allies, most needed by wehr faction In: COH2 Balance

But goes to show allies mg are more deadly. And suppression of blob without killing models make mg42 most susceptible to dps return fire, dropping models, switching gunner, and lots of tiny things make it UP. In: COH2 Balance

Churchill should be ai focused while comets should be at focused. I like my old suggestions. Reduce Churchill damage to 120, reduce pop back to 18. Improve its moving acc to 0.75. make comet pop 17 and fuel to 170. This gives ukf player more thoughts to consider. Allies 'suffer' from 60 td syndrome. As long as there is FF, we cannot make comet a panther clone or even close to it In: COH2 Balance
Thread: I know why MG42 is underperforming much4 Oct 2019, 11:31 AM Jump back to quoted post4 Oct 2019, 10:43 AMgbem well ive conducted this test already distance 10 20 and 30... the maxim loses at all distances against the 42... the only situation where the 42 fared worse than the maxim was when both were behind sandbags... also the real purpose of an mg isnt to shoot at other MGs but to suppress infantry... the reason why everyone is criticizing you and telling you to l2p is because you refuse to understand this... Sorry i totally disbelief you. I am sure my real tests is right. Maxim 50cal just kills mg42 head to head. If you say such faceoff is unlikely in real game, i give you that. But im 100% behind my comments In: COH2 Balance

Hence why i say mg42 support crew is worse off. Obviously maxim have more support crew more dps. Btw 50cal is so op in reposition timing. Best pack up and deploy times, best damage, has ap ability too. Imo best mg is usf mg. No way is mg42 In: COH2 Balance

You can try yourself, i face the mgs 2 yellow lines apart and turn the allies mg into enemy. Mg42 is definitely not as lethal as maxim and 50cal. And that is besides the weird non firing lull.
