Now infantry is too weak versus tanks in late game. It should stay inferior but not close to being useless as now. Main purpose of late game infantry is to spot for AT and b a shield for it. They lose too much of their fighting value.
That's....why you have AT infantry with bazookas/ptrs/shreks/etc.....to....counter tanks....because infantry has bolt action rifles. |
Not to toot my own horn, but has anyone tried the test mod yet? I figured that the best way to see if the idea of early Paras held up would be to actually try it, but there hasn't been any feedback on it.
Could you link the test mod? |
Solid toxic contribution. Why didn't you just ignore the thread if you weren't gonna read it
Yeah take your personal attacks elsewhere. |
I fell that with this many call ins u will be man power starved and with no off map it will be difficult to counter lfh
Yeah probably replace the Assengies with an off map arty. |
I’d just replace this ammo switch ability with an M8 Greyhound cannister shot. Ideally with some kind of icon above the at gun when it’s aiming for it. |
Forgot USF and UKF lmao.
For USF imagine this beauty:
0CP Assault Engineers
3CP Rangers
5CP Cover to cover
8CP Calliope
13CP Pershing
2 elite inf call ins, one anti infantry cqc and one uber anti tank platform with 3 bazookas. Cover to cover is an insane utility ability. Calliope is super strong and the Pershing has great anti infantry.
For UKF probably something like
0CP M1 81mm mortar
0CP M5 halftruck (can upgrade with AA)
1CP Salvage engineers
8CP Sexton
13CP Crocodile
Indirect fire for days, early and late game. The M5 which combos incredibly well with the AEC. Salvage engineers which are opaf at getting you lots of fuel from wrecks. The croc which needs no explanation. |
For the Soviets, I always felt like Armoured Assault was almost a perfect commander, with just one weakness. If you replaced the IL2 strafe with Guards Rifle Infantry, it would be the perfect 1v1 commander. Radio Intercept is a very strong utility, T34/85 and the IS2 are fantastic tanks, crew repairs are incredibly useful in getting your tanks ready for battle asap.
For the Ostheer, Strategic Reserves is close to being perfect. I just think if you replaced the 251 observation with a muni ability like fragmentation bomb or JU87 anti tank strafe, it would be a perfect commander.
For OKW, probably something like
0CP Panzerfusiliers
0CP 221 (can upgrade for resource increase like in Elite Armoured)
5CP Heat shells
5CP Panzer Commander
13CP Command Panther
Strong infantry, the 221 for resources which you can then use for heat shells in tank combat. You get synergy with Panzer commander and you can also put the commander in the command panther call in in case you’re behind in fuel and need a call in op tank.
F me, this commander is insane. If you replaced the 221 with smoke this would be the goat okw commander for tanks.

I simply thank you for correcting your post is enough.
A thousand blessings upon you, my lord. |
How many models does the 81mm USA/UKF mortar or the GeR34 afford to lose before they are de-crewed?
Congrats, you found a wrong detail. Here’s your medal. |
I think it's interesting to look at the pak howie and the leig against the other mortars.
The pak howie has far lower mobility than other sources of indirect fire, since it can't retreat, and can only afford to lose 2 models before it gets recrewed. It makes up for both shortcomings with better range and better effectiveness in its role. It is indeed overperforming a little bit, but I do not think it needs to be gutted. A small 5-10% nerf to rate of fire during barrage would probably be enough.
The leig is also an infantry gun meant for indirect fire support that has similarities to the pak howie. Both can only afford to lose 2 men, both have very low mobility, both cannot retreat. Differences are the leig has better rate of fire and is cheaper, while the pak howie has more range and damage. I think the balance between them is properly designed, but I do think since both have low mobility they should have more range than mortars that can retreat. I would increase the leig's range a little bit to make it easier to preserve. |
