Remove their infilitration ability. Make them spawn from base. Then nerf their camouflage so it needs them to be stationary for 2-3 seconds to camo. That would make them balanced at 340mp coming in with 5 men. |

It's not that amazing either. It's nothing to complain about, but pretending it's amazing is just as disengenious. It's much slower than HTs and much more fragile, AND it needs to be standing still to provide support

Then they need the merge go away. What is holding cons back in combat is their ability to merge and save other squads on the field. As absurd as it sounds it can be one of the best abilities in the game.

Actually it can be accomplished by buffing maxim but adjusting its set/pack times like other mgs.
No thanks, after the rifles buff there is no excuse for not buffing conscripts in case of a penals nerf, unless the maxim buff makes it into an mg42.
Not really the only thing needed is VG's ST44 redesign/nerf or replacement with the MP-40.

TBH if soviets had access to early forward reinforcement, they would just overwhelm the map.
I'm avid M5 user and its really hard to push soviet off the field then its behind your infantry, only way for you to be forced away is overwhelming fire to bleed more then you can sustain.
Grens can be forced little bit easier with 251 therefore its earlier.
I definitely agree. My point has more to do that the usf has this amazing cheap heal and reinforce truck, yet so many people keep complaining about it.

The conscript/grenadier balance is fine... what makes ost difficult is the lack of a "penal battalion" analog that allows it to crutch against rifles... the real solution here isnt to buff grens but to re nerf rifles and penals

I’m actually shocked you posted this as some form of moral victory. Did you even rewatch before you submitted this? A few thoughts I got from watching the game with respect to people who didn’t watch this,
1) You started bottom right on Kharkov and pgren stalled, so you built two mgs. One was on your cutoff with your mate’s army, which served absolutely no purpose whatsoever. The other was stuck in the house near the top right vp and never bothered helping the pioneers cap the vp. This was your entire army until minute 3.5.
2) You finally get 2 pgrens, yet one of them gets panzershreks immediately. I get it you expect a LV rush, but why not an early pak instead? You had 1 infantry squad until around min 8, which is criminal.
3) Your one and only push comes around min 6 where you force 2 squads to retreat and neutralize their cutoff, then their fuel, before you get pushed back. No wipes, at no point did you have more income than them since your own cutoff was neutralized at that time.
4) You get pushed and destroyed around 7.5 to 8 mins, when your mg gets smoked. At that time it’s absolutely gg, you lose an mg, your teammate lost a scout car and some infantry and his mg and you have no significant fuel income or army on the field.
5) You start complaining about pack howies, which imo were a perfectly reasonable response by Sully to your pgren stall. You are extremely delusional that this proves the unit to be overpowered, which is most evident by both packs having as many kills as Stark’s sole M1 mortar. A single mortar by Sully early would have easily destroyed your stall even earlier.
I don’t know, I guess forget about pgren stall especially in 2v2, get a pak, get a scout car or flame ht early, pick a commander and don’t taunt opponents after they destroy you. |
