I think the assault troop absence would be less painful if RE, as proposed, had some decent CQC power. They don't need to become assgren replacements, but giving them the option to invest in some firepower would be a big help for maps where knife fighting is nothing short of mandatory. I imagine it would lock out the sweeper to boot. |
Removing bolster and making tommies 5 man but worse will kill UKF late game.
Delaying bolster makes snipers cripple te early game.
Brits as a faction are still suffering from their awful design, but the last thing they need is people trying to redseign their mainline. |

He means USF won 5 out of 5 matches (it was Nicko vs Von).
Not a very good argument though, it was previous patch and 2 top players aren't quite enough to judge balance. It would be better to watch tourney today.
I stand corrected - a victim of poor memory and a pretty awfully worded sentance by Stug
Either way, we're a patch down the line since then and there is a prixe tourney right around the corner. I'm watching that to get a better idea of where top tier play stands. |
Are u gonna bring out the last mini tourney where the 2 top player only won as usf with Pershing easy win going 5-0 with usf in less tha 20 min each game stomping both okw and ost
Or are u gonna STFU ?
Only u are the biggest B.S. in this forum
They went 5-0 playing both axis and allies because players rotate
A 5-0 stomp shows the vast gulf in player skill, and is nothing to do with army balance |
Yeah we know what happened to riflemen smoke, no thanks on sections.
MP40 volks have it and nobody is crying about those right now |
How is it less deadly than the cluster bombs, which arrive more slowly, and their wipe potential is pure RNG?
A unit can stand in clusters and explode or it can stand in them and take a third.
Any infantry unit beneath a frag bomb line is dead, no if ands or buts. The map edge / map middle is a big deal, but in its best case scenario, frag bombs can outright delete anything you want, quite often immediately outside the enemy's base if you happen to have sight from their cutoff.
Back on the topic of design. I just want to know why the plane dropping the bombs is even required? If the plane is purely aesthetic why not have the bombs be a timed air drop and a plane pass just be a cosmetic thing that happens?
Why the modeled plane at all? Just so we can add more plane crash RNG to the maps, which is clearly what we want more of? It's not like anybody is ever looking upwards in a game of CoH2 to see it. |
Ah yes. Their marginally better results specifically between the distances of 4 and 10 make them mad OP.
You know, the distance they *already* thrashed Volks at. |
The doctrinal upgrades would be too much
I wish it left them with a weapon slot, though. Obersoldaten are allowed to have two LMG34 (drops permitting), but conscripts are locked out from pickups for the price of them actually being worth a damn late game.
The Grenadier upgrades don't lock out another pickup, but cons? Gotta make sure they can't scavenge for some reason. |
It is top tier idiocy and one of the last remaining truly 'broken' concepts from early OKW. It was always painfully obvious they never thought about how OKW would work outside 1v1. Just look at their old fuel system... when fuel drops and caxhes exist. I sure don't miss the old OKW feed KT rush.
Remove it or make it only offer minimap info. And drop its current hp. Its a 5 fuel unit in an army that can salvage wrecks for pete's sake. |
