(also, I guess it's 70 muni for sturms for the very important and useful cold immunity it comes with ) It was, but it was compounded by several other factors. The five levels of vet used to have a more impressive combat bonus. Hitting a vehicle with a shreck used to be enough vet to jump a whole level for volksgrens. There was no Mg34 for OKW to invest in It was a combination of dumb. But I still think that handing shrecks out to the freely available mainlines with snares is a bad call unless its doctrinal. Too easy to focus into early AI vehicles and let the infantry pick up the slack. In: COH2 Balance

As is, StuGs are a good way to support a panther against IS2s and Pershings, however. Do you really want to trade that off by lowering its pen? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: StuG life not viable6 Aug 2019, 08:12 AM Stripping the StuG if its current duty and bumping the price way up seems liable to lead to Ost having more trouble against medium or light rushes, where the cheaper tag to field a pair really helps. Not that medium spam is common, per se. Not a fan of letting them upgrade though. If you invest fuel early you should not be able to be gaining vet and having a field presence that you can then just turn directly into a late game tank destroyer while, say, a soviet player has to tech again and wait for their T4 SU-85. Paying up front in MP rather than MU perhaps makes sense. Having to then keep paying mp every time you reinforce a low hp, low punch AT squad that takes up 8 pop cap is bad. Adding more to their deploy cost but lower their reinforcing cost would go a long way towards makong partisans not utter garbage fire. The commander already has next to no lategame potential, making their shoddy infantry bleed like crazy doesn't help. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: StuG life not viable5 Aug 2019, 08:18 AM StuG life works wonders against medium tank play It is very very rare that anybody attempts heavy medium tank play, and every person that DOES can also invest into a 60 range TD from the same tier. T34 and SU85, Sherman and Jackson, Cromwell and Firefly. If you are going StuG, you sort of need to accept the reality that you eventually need to transition to panthers. In: COH2 Balance
