Cool facts turned to fanboys yelling at each other |
I showed the numbers, skipped only one point related to accuracy in movement. At the expense of magical HPAV, I also explained. Objectively, there can be no complaints against Jackson when you have the Panther and the Tigers. And you just brought your subjective opinion, for example, "panthers should be more than enough to take out allied heavies reliably and effectively, with doesnt happen."
No, its happen. I dont agree. Panthers easily destroy usf medium and even "heavy" pershing tank. Panthers can push your line, destroy your tanks and go back. This because of high armor and health. Jacksons can't this. They will be quickly destroyed. Especially when an hidden Raketenwerfer is ambushed. With such a massive offensive, armor and health already play a role, and not the accuracy of movement. What was demonstrated at the 2v2 masters cup.
We can debate for a very long time. Therefore, I gave the numbers and percentages.
Uhhhhh
Do you think colouring your argument makes it more true? |
Can everyone stop comparing M36 to Panther? It's terrible as saying IS-2 should be a Soviet's Elefant.
The counterpart of M36(Speed) is Jadgpanzer(camo), Firefly(alpha dmg), SU85(Self-spot).
While Panther should be compared to T34-85, E8, Comet (late medium tank).
Well then what is the Jackson’s counterpart in Ost tech tree?
Because if they don’t have one that’s a pretty big problem |
I hate Jacksons and Elephants because they are hard to flank and encourage camping |
Also, TWP. I think it should be an ability that, if used correctly, prevents the StuG from being flanked.
I think TWP should cause the driver injured crit. It’s a temporary crit so it isn’t as oppressive, and doesn’t allow the stug to straight up win a fight like a improved stun would |
I do not really see how tying super heavies to tech will make medium tanks more attractive.
Allies have little reason to invest in mediums since their infatry can beat axis infatry and their TDs can deal with all armor and axis have little reason to invest heavily in medium since allied TDs can hit and penetrate the PzIV with almost 100% chance even at 60 range.
Yeah pretty much.
Allies buy TDs instead of mediums because their infantry can already beat axis infantry
Axis buy P4 instead of stug/JP4 because their infantry can’t beat allied infantry
Asymmetrical design at its finest |
Title of this thread give anyone else a minor heart attack?
Yes |
Great idea!
We could also put Panther at 200+ fuel, so people will stop spamming them in team games.
Well what else can they build? Panzer4s? You can’t close a 20 range gap. StuGs? Their lack of a turret and anti infantry make them bad. Elephants? Allied users already complain about those. Tigers? Not enough anti tank for the price, and a 15 range gap.
|
The problem is the Panzer 4 already wins against allied mediums, so there is no reason to get a StuG.
They Could be a counter to allied TDs, but they don’t have they have less range than allied TDs and the lack of turrets makes it hard to close the gap
They could be a counter to heavy tanks, but they don’t have enough penetration.
They could be made a counter to light vehicles, but right now they come to late and are overkill
IMO either increase their penetration and damage (heavy counter) or increase their range (TD counter) and move to t3
Wher already has a medium counter, the panzer 4, as it is better than allied mediums |
For 30 more fuel and 70 more manpower, you can get a panzer 4, which has a turret, 2 extra machinegins, AOE on the main gun, and blitz.
However, the stug does have 10 more range and 75 more penetration
I never see the StuG. I don’t really know why. When I try to use it, my infantry just get stomped without support from a panzer4 or Ostwind. And it’s bad against tanks because it’s easy to flank, and the bad pathing is extra bad without a turret, meaning you can’t push with it.
If the devs wanted to, they could improve its AI, as after June 1944, all StuGs had small holes drilled in the mantlet and had coaxial mg34s installed, in addition to their top mounted mg42s (tank encyclopaedia)
