But it has, first it comes at the end of the LV time frame, just before mediums arrive. If the other player stalls it gets punished, if it transitions into *any medium, ostwind becomes a defensive option. Second, even when it can dominate within the AI spectrum, allied squads dont get wiped but suppressed and damaged and because of this a well combined ATG with snare can take it out, the only downside is the bigger MP investment to achieve it. This means the SU-85 and M36 Jackson must be able to contend with both of these effectively, as it is the allies strongest defence. The King Tiger is highly effective in it's Spearhead mode, and the Panther is the undeniable Dive champion. If the SU-85 and M36 cannot shock these units, then the SU-85 and M36 themselves will fall prey to the vehicles they exist to counter. At least with USF there is an exeption. On all the other factions, doctrinal units are better than stock ones but Jacksons are able to beat any USF doctrinal counterpart, OKW having stock KT is just the mirror balance. Both balance each other. Panthers on the other side are meant to be the superior option amongst all mediums and each factions has its solution for them. Thats why panthers are not stock heavy tanks but rather premium medium with good AT, the armor nerfs it has received proves my assumption. SU-85 is pretty balanced by itself and promotes combined arms tactics. Therefore there is no real issue if we also consider all heavies are tech bound now In: COH2 Balance

I take your word for Opel being OP, i never saw it that way. I even like your suggestions in the original post, mainly the stationary to reinforce one, even though it promotes a more stationary gameplay. In: COH2 Gameplay

What i mean, for example, if KT is the last heavy tank to be rushed of all, it can be rightly buffed. The rushing time/normal time will be a new attribute of the unit. In: Lobby

Thread: Redesigning Emplacement14 Sep 2019, 13:54 PM I really like how this thread is going, i have not much time to read all the posts but i am going to later. I support the emplacements redesign too. Actual game balance punishes really hard static gameplay, therefore emplacements got worse by each patch. I can share some ideas now. IMO Bofors should not lock out AEC to begin with. Mortar emplacements should definitely have a paid ability to shoot farther, like H. Sapper suggested. They could even have a pinpoint accurate single shot (even though we all know its kind of OP), or even a flare for the howitzers (i think that was too much) Pounder emplacement could have a camo ability, like the new raketens, its already stationary. Either that or give them a snare shot. All emplacements could receive a "pack/unpack" ability, to move them around, but the resulting squad when the emplacement unpacks should be pretty vulnerable. To avoid creeping turtling, set up time should be pretty high. Make doctrinal the ability to crew emplacements. As a slight nerf to adjust for the new versatility. Consider a rework/rebalance of the auto repair emplacement (its simply a bad idea) and change it into a "sappers garrisoned will heal automatically and also get cover bonus" In: Lobby

If they want the Bofors gone they should just replace it with something else. There is no reasoning with madness they say. I wish so hard more people had your same vision of shrekblobs... With the UKF/USF who lack nondoc rocket arty they can be a greater pain to deal with. The REAL villain in this situation isn't the blob it's usually the awful pathing of the vehicle trying to escape it/stay out of range. Agreed on both points, but remember that UKF and USF have relatively speaking better infantry vs shrekblobs. In: COH2 Balance
