Okw and ukf unfairly benefit from this. Agreed. If OKW healing crates instead of aura heal, healed the squad that picks up the medkits. It could be an easy fix. As a tradeoff the squad could be healed as long as it is out of combat. Price might need adjustments. As for UKF, IMO the solution is related to the new medic squad. Its a bit offtopic but a worthy point to make. In: COH2 Balance

Mo40s frag grenade and smoke. Then you have an assault Option OR a defensive option (standard rifle volks) The firestorm upgrade would then be a better assault option of course but doctrinally locked and would lose access to the smoke which I feel like as a stock option losing would have more impact that a doctrinal option not getting of that makes sense. Put the flame nade on sturms stock to make sure okw can still burn out tough garrisons but not every garrison on the map at any time. They would need to bring in a specialist like everyone else. +1 I dont know about sturm flamenade though. In: COH2 Balance

All you have to do is close under 25-ish meters and their snipers are significantly less accurate. I know its a high standard but if a 4-digit rank player can play without abusing or missusing units its a good design. Skill its not a definitive nor the best criteria to judge balance/design features. And it hasn't been changed. Just brought it up because you were reeeing about how g43s are doctrinal. It was almost a year ago. No worries it ended up being fixed. Also, imagine complaining to a USF and brit player about how you need to select a doctrine to get some nice stuff. I have to choose a doctrine to get basic gameplay tools like infantry garrison clearance, indirect fire, mines, rocket arty, and more than one kind of infantry squad. I am not complaining, i said that people complained back then to say that doctrinal tools to "fix missing gaps" in the rooster was bad design. In: Lobby

I think UKF deserves attention to be viable as much as USF and SU are. I would though agree with Cardboard Tank that recently i have seen a lot more oppressive IS blobs from very early stages of the game, but with a pitch perfect play the match is still possible to win. But do not fully agree on aoe survivability. It gets naded and wiped more often then 4 men mg,s. The deathloop and mediocre supression without vet and the ability are the cause. Clearly soviet faction perks dont compensate this. The most survivable mg gets wiped the most... Some stats such as suprresion or damage matter more then hp or setup. Having good supression means taking far less damage from inf then the other way around. Not saying maxim should get mg42 suprresion, we know how that turned out while keeping its hp and mobility. Its just it should not be able to get naded frontaly as frequently as it does, the deathloop triggers pretty easely after this. Agreed, i meme´d a little on the AoE survival but its also true that maxims are the best among other HMGs at surviving mortar shells, of course they still suffer splash damage but they have more models to spare. Axis pgren nades are mini nukes and riflenade has big AoE, as you pointed out it often causes maxim wipes. I think maxims is a more niche HMG that fails at being a core unit for SU. I think that its intentional that maxims dont perform so well so SU player try to steal axis or recover allied HMGs because that puts them on top of the food chain. Flamenade Dot could be decreased to disencourage deathloop, or simply changed by a normal grenade. The deathloop also happens to all other HMGs when outnumbered. But on maxims as you said, its an exploitable bug. In: COH2 Balance
