So yeah, 5man grens MIGHT be ever sooooo slightly OP. And not surprisingly, that is an absolute blasphemy to the likes of SuperAlliedFan. Not surprised he made this thread. Regardless of my opinion on balance I feel a thread touching upon balance after UTT is probably valid. I could have made this thread after the patch notes released but I waited until two tournaments completed to decide my opinion. I never hounded or attacked other forum/twitch members calling for a hotfix. If you disagree with my conclusions feel free to point out why. But for me the outrage at SVT cons when VSL have performed arguably better would indicate a balance issue. I've been defensive for allies lately because Brits were nerfed out of the game for many tournaments, some players have a vendetta against them despite them being identical in Ost design in many ways (which I can understand, I also dislike emplacements). For the record I also called for Wehr mortar and ostrippen buffs late game, as well as nerfs to UKF perimeter overwatch so let's drop the fanboy wars. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: 5man grens OP?8 Jun 2020, 12:38 PM From watching UTT average kill count for a squad is in the 40s even vs upgraded guards and tommy Imperial Dane even thinks they're OP. So possibly remove the upgrade and swap with G43? Giving regular grens mg34 that locks out both slots for 90 muni could also be an option. The combo of super faust (more range and lower cool down), survivability, five men, reduced RA and great moving acc makes them like rifles on steroids. This is on top of T4 buffs like reinforce reduction and faster capping. SVT cons have to give up similar reduced reinforce cost at T4... In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Mortar autofire/barrage change?8 Jun 2020, 03:12 AM I agree with increasing lethality but nerfing autofire, this should have been done a long time ago. Currently you can sit an MG team under mortar barrage and often not even need to replace because the rounds will miss most of the time. You're lucky if you kill half a MG crew. Previous issue was players going double mortar and leaving them behind a house somewhere to rack up zero micro autofire kills. So surely the fix should have been to nerf autofire? I don't see why barrage got hit by nerfs too. In: COH2 Gameplay

And you can´t even counter rocket artillery cause the maps dont allow it. What a joke. Soviet Katty play in 2s has been a staple for years, because you just surrender half the map to Ost support weapon walls and OKW flak truck without it. Which is basically impossible to break as USF/Brit. Speaking of which point me to all the stock rocket arty USF and Brits have access to. In: Lobby

Commandos will already be vet 2 by then. So your "fix" (let's be honest you just want your uber SS troops to sealclub everything) would not even effect commando ability to PIAT sneak late game. Which made it very hard for ostheer to deal with becouse pak wasnt cutting it against it. Now that the zook is gone i feel like the build time is a little bit too long. It is not a bad unit but it certainly could come out like 10-20 sec faster. One needs to be carefull though since 20 sec can mean a lot in the early game. The other solution is to buff its utility by making the armored skirts free so you can use the ammo on mines. Possibly even give a ammo discount to the mines with vet The Pak was buffed a similar time to when m20 was nerfed, Pak has much better tracking now. It can be argued Ost have an easier time countering ultra lights and lights IMO. Better snare range, better atg and tellers. Cheap 222 that can eat greyhound, m20 etc. It's just the lack of puma makes okw better vs light tanks and AEC matchup. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: USF M20 dead?4 Jun 2020, 04:22 AM I warned people removing zook would kill the unit, I said these multiple nerfs would leave it in the trashcan with WASP. Zook gave you some defence against 222 and luch, which for the investment m20 needs is fair. It was a massive change not an "adjustment" as others claimed in the old USF thread. It's like suddenly removing the cannon from KV-8 In: COH2 Balance
