Thread: What Role Should Heavy Tanks Serve?5 Jul 2019, 19:11 PM Jump back to quoted post5 Jul 2019, 19:07 PMStug life p4 has less pen for more armor, t 34 cost 20 less fuel, sherman beats p4 most of the time thanks to high pen and 0.75 moving accuracy if u mean okw p4, that cost 140 fuel, if im not wrong that's easy 8 price, do we even need to compare the 2 ? Ost P4 does not have worse pen, it's pen is simply favors long ranges so it's just better armor vs similar pen and P4's do not need to deal with Panthers on allied side, lets see who is at bigger disatvantage between Axis and Allied mediums In: COH2 Balance

Axis mediums are garbage, there is hardly any point in fielding them as they become redundant as soon as Jacksons/Churchills/T34/85s start to roll out. The real question what is the point of axis mediums in first place if they get hard-countered minutes after rolling out P4 counter all allied mediums in normal fight, they also easily can 1v1 all allied tank destroyers in direct combat. Panther simply does it better, hardly any point in P4 when you can field Panther from same tier. In: COH2 Balance

Allied mediums and even "advanced mediums" are garbage, there is hardly any point in fielding them as they become redundant as Panthers start to roll out, fielding Tigers instead of Panthers does not change anything. Nothing has fundamentally changed aside of useless allied units becoming more useless (and even more after similar changes will be done to allied heavies) The real question what is the point of allied mediums in first place if they get hard-countered minutes after rolling out, as if T-34-85 losing to magical OKW P4 and its near Panther level armor wasnt enough In: COH2 Balance

All this Centraur rubbish is just classic whataboutism. Increasing cost of Ostwind is the absolute least that should be done to it. Skipping T1/T2 with new commander to rush it is also shouldnt be a thing, schreks should be locked behind T2 In: COH2 Balance

More defined role of killing intarty = AA vehicle usurping role of dedicated AI vehicles such as Brummbar or Hetzer and doing it better cheaper and faster? Using same logic I'd expect you to double T-34 ROF considering it's all around piece of crap? Also I'm not seeing M5 AA recieving buff of similar caliber, nothing even remotely as powerful as giving it drastically reduced cooldown or huge increase in burst duration yet it's also dedicated AI vehicle that most certanly saw less use than Ostwind? What's more is it will still damage mediums and still has a barrage. The su76 is likley the LEAST dead weight TD in the game due to that barrage... It's useless on half of the maps due to mere fact it's turretless. Try winning a direct engagement with 400hp/70 armor In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostwind's penetrations22 Jun 2019, 23:02 PM Yeah it arives usually after T4 goes up but you dont have enough time/fuel for SU-85 so you're forced into deadweight medium - T-34 which has no scaling in team games OR you have to stay on T3 and get SU-76 which has no scaling in large teamgames either and does not even work on city maps as it's turretless compared to puma which can easily zone Centaur Trying to fight it off with PTRS is pure memery - you either lose squads on retreat or get bled to death You're basically forced into picking bad vehicles with no scaling as SU just to stop Ostwind. Thats not the same as getting P4 or Puma to stop Centaur, those vehicles are not a deadweight In: COH2 Balance
