How the hell can even you think the Jackson is not good enough? It use to have more sight AND get bonus sight with vet. That would be absurdly OP on the current version of the Jackson, seeing as it was OP on the old one that wasn't as strong. Sure, The Jackson is excellent at destroying vehicles, as it should be, it's essentially a heavy tank destroyer, heavy in the sense that it has a powerful 90mm gun. I don't see any reason to nerf anything about it because it's doing it's job. It is a one trick pony and very vulnerable to being baited by mines, AT guns, and Panzerschreks all of which OKW and OST have in abundance. The sight raidus I think is a little too short it should be increased a little bit. The pop count should be 14, but the pop on most medium and heavy vehicles is too high as it is. The Jagpanzer IV should probably be 12 or 13 pop as 15 is rediculous and it's not nearly as useful as a Panzer IVj. Doesn't make any sense. Panther and Churchill should go back to 18 or maybe even 17 pop, Comet probably should be 17 as well to match these two if they're lowered to 17. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Undeniable Easy Eight problem.3 Feb 2020, 03:23 AM I'm not bothered by the fact the EZ8 loses to a Panther that's not a big deal a Panther is supposed to be a better tank. I'm bothered by the fact that it is supposed to be a good all around tank but it's not. It is almost as bad against infantry as a Jackson. It will almost always lose a 1v1 engagement with any double panzerschrek sqaud even out in the open. I don't think the cost is an issue it's fine where it is. I don't think it needs any more AT ability really so no HVAP needed. It just needs better AI ability. They should give it WP rounds because that way it will have an alternate type of ammunition since it's the only Sherman variant that currently doesn't have that and it would give it a unique ability to clear buildings with those WP rounds. USF is the only faction with no vehicle based flamethrower this would kind of fill that gap and give the E8 something to do that other Shermans and USF vehicles can't. Heck you could reenact Fury. I've suggested this before I'm surprised more people haven't, it would also go alone with the theme of the doctrine being about WP and flame weapons. As far as the doctrine itself they really should add 1 more thing to it. Either give access to an M3 HT or give access to the M1919 LMG. The M1919 makes the most sense, it is "Rifle Company" after all so why not give the Riflemen more later game firepower? In: COH2 Balance

Honestly mortar is not the play unless he has like 3 hmgs. It's absolutely not worth it because: You smoke the hmg42 but if you go mortar and smoke it, what are you gonna push it with? 1 rifle squad? He either went another hmg and you get supressed because it's behind him or he went grens and your rifles drop models while advancing while he is repositioning his hmg. USF can't afford to play static earlygame and for that you need rifles to beat the volk spam or have successful flanks. Early nades don't help either because you are delaying your LV/tech/bars and not getting much out of it. Really infuriating matchup that takes way more skill to beat than to execute. At worst you have to concede that side of the map and go gang up 2v1 against the OKW/Teammate, and try to get map control from it. Very map dependant but you can also go for the cutoff easier than for the fuel/vp he is guarding since he probably devoted atleast 1 HMG for that. The Jeep isn't that good its a paper vehicle with no gun that it starts with and takes forever to upgrade. You don't even have to faust it just keep shooting it and it will explode. The M3 HT is good though but its T2 so it can't help you for a while. In: Strategy Desk
