Or give them SVT tied with vet, ie at vet3 they also get 3 svt's (tone down RA bonus if implemented?) I don't think it negates it, if the non-doc weapon is a long-range weapon. If we give them an SMG of some sort, then they would overlap. It gives you a choice and you'd go PPSh if you wanted close-combat and you'd go DP if you wanted long-range/medium range. Currently Volks can go STG or MP40 if they go with Firestorm, and those also perform different functions despite being even more similar than a DP / PPSh comparison. I'd be fine with SVT upgrades as well, if only so it reduces the focus fire that the DP would provide (ala Grens/Obers). In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Let's talk about the scott10 Dec 2018, 17:22 PM Huh, guess the "good player" variable is a big part of this because often when I play as allies in team games, I'll have USF team mates who go 2-3 scotts and get their asses handed to them hard. Usually because they have no AT and can't react to a p4 push. I guess jackson+scott combo is strong, but that's 230 fuel + hundreds of manpower.. and at that point I wonder if you're already at such a disadvantage that it's hard to recover regardless of what USF was using. I agree; it's a red herring that derails things. For what it's worth, I don't think conscripts need to be cheaper, but I do think they need to be worth their cost. IMO, a ppsh-excluding weapon upgrade unlocked by tier3/4 is a nice call and I'd support it. I'd also support bundling molotov/at-nade together for a slight price reduction overall, or just making the second upgrade come at a discount. In: COH2 Balance

THe wipe potential is extreme and needs to be toned down completley. And I've had some godawful games where 5+ howtizers were used against my side. I'm not immune to it either, ofc, and "I'm about to punch my monitor" is one of my most repeated phrases on voice-chat when playing this game. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Best ways to handle losing agianst trollers?6 Dec 2018, 17:57 PM I think you have to abandon concepts of "honor" when you play a game with people who want to win. I had the same experience in Dark Souls where people would get upset if one player wanted to play using different "rules" than another, and I think that's the wrong attitude to approach it. Either you have to beat them using the method you think is superior, or, and this is true to history, adapt your method to be more effective. I said this in another thread regarding blobbing but basically... everyone blobs. It's just something you have to accept and be ready for, ideally through copious use of recon. Regarding the situations you find yourself in, the solution will be different depending on if its indirect spam or MG spam or light vehicle spam. As for the thing you asked directly about, best way to handle losing... just remember that it's a game. Do what VonIvan does and shrug it off as best as you can -- why let them get a stress inducing emotional victory? In: COH2 Gameplay
