If so, how?26 Sep 2018, 16:03 PM To be entirely fair it's not Volks that's making OKW early blob game strong but the fact that Sturm Pios are really good compared to every other faction's starting units. It's hard to look at Volks vs other mainline infantry in a vacuum but maybe decreasing the price of Rifles and infantry sections to 270 manpower and 27 reinforce would help a lot in the long run. Thread: Rifle Company need to be rework25 Sep 2018, 00:17 AM So, rifle company doesn't need an Ez8 chance. Neither does Ez8 need a balance change. It's a fine tank and the only reason to pick the doctrine besides the flames. Now the problem is: sprint and flares are taking up two slots when it should take up one. It'll be extremely easy to just combine the two and then add rifleman field defense in order to make this commander half viable. I honestly would like it if they revamped Rifle company instead of making a new commander. Rifle is so outdated half of the time people win not because this commander brought anything to the table, but because they played much better than the other player. If there were other commanders with RE flamers they would be chosen instantly over this commander. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Feedback for Commander Revamppatch21 Sep 2018, 18:14 PM Let's keep in mind the Sherman 76 currently is almost as expensive as the EZ8 but nowhere as near effective unless abusing the broken fire rate. It definitely either needs another role or be removed. The solution provided by the balance team is a solid anti-armor role from a tank as easy to kill as the regular Sherman so problem solved???? At least it can't abuse 2 seconds reload??? As for the Ez8, oh god the commander is so lackluster X_X Buying one Ez8 is more expensive than waiting for the Pershing and they both have relatively the same role. In: Lobby

Thread: Feedback for Commander Revamppatch20 Sep 2018, 20:43 PM Quick Question about the 250 changes. 250 Half-track (Replaces Infantry Doctrine Artillery Officer) -210 manpower and 20 fuel. -Comes with a 251 style MG and gains shared veterancy. -Veterancy similar to the 222 except it gains +10 sight instead of 'Infantry Awareness'. -New ability - Dig-In - Immobilizes the half-track, but reduces damage by 50%, increases range by 10, and grants moderate weapon suppression. -Changes affect the half-tracks in Mechanized Assault Groups for Mechanized and Mechanized Assault doctrines; they still come with infantry. I think this is a wonderful change and the vet changes will make sure this tank isn't necessarily broken but a challenge to heavier armor. I think mechanized might be pretty darn prevalent against OKW from now on (Even more prevalent than the M3 HT cheese atm) I haven't done any testing yet but does anyone know if this unit will now consistently pen Panthers or Tigers frontally? I suspect a problem where players will build the placable FHQ instead of using ambient buildings just out of convenience. Should there be a different cost between spawning an FHQ in an ambient building and building one with the CE to encourage players to use the resources provided by the map? Other than the FHQ I think the other changes to Urban are great. People are scared of the KV-2 Vet 3 but... that's like saying a Vet 5 KT is scary... ofc it is. In: Lobby

A better question is when was the last time you seen a KV2 at all? The changes are fine, it brings the tank up to a reasonable level. Btw those who complain the KV2 can shoot through terrain so can the Pak 43 and that thing can two shot tanks through a building so I don't think the KV-2 is that much of a problem. And speaking of the Pak 43, can it get the same treatment the axis heavy tank destroyers get so that they don't two shot mediums? Wouldn't mind if it was a lot tankier as long it doesn't just pretty much instantly gib tanks behind a shot blocker. In: Lobby
Thread: Tactical Support for USF in 1v1? 13 Sep 2018, 00:38 AM To me right now this commander is just like a subpar Infantry commander with some more tools to deal with blobs. I've been using this commander vs OKW with some varied success. However, I think the Calliope is just way too expensive to use although it does have Sherman level armor. It can use some fuel reductions and be buildable from T4. The M5 atm is pretty useless unless you're going for the Kraut shredder and doesn't provide nearly as good utility as the M3 from Mech. Browning machine gun is pretty good but without rifleman building sandbags, it's harder to hold a position from long range. The recon overflight is actually really decent because it has multiple passes allowing you to see the enemy position better than the Major ability. I'm actually pretty mad at the strafing ability because, on one hand, it does it job, but on the other hand it's not as good as a loiter. Even though there are so many subpar things about this commander... somehow I've been making it work by going the standard cpt build into major. The M5 actually provides reinforcement (something I totally forgot about) and also still has a decent overdrive for BZooka bus shenanigans. Is there anyone else out there that uses this doctrine that can give me some tips? In: Strategy Desk
