If you don't go for T-34/85, then you should rely on SU-85s, and along with your Allies (USF, UKF) you should engage them first before they manage to field more tanks, because they will definitely rush you and destroy you with minimal casualties. A thing i have done with my friends many times is a complete armor dive to destroy their tanks and then withdraw. I personally engaged with a few tanks because i was responsible for the Anti-Infantry part, but it worked. My Soviet friend spammed T-34/85s, i, as USF, had 3 Jacksons and 1 Pershing, and our last USF guy had 8 M10s. We engaged 3 Panthers, 2 Panzer IVs and 1 Jagdtiger, and just steamrolled them. We even engaged OKW's HQs and destroyed them. Your infantry should wipe their ATs and force their infantry back, so that your tanks can push forward. Any damaged tank should retreat for repairs while the rest keep pushing the enemy.
Is everyone going to ignore the fact that the guy had 8 M10s? XD
True way to counter Axis AT, throw more tanks at it! |
"Price means literally nothing because resources are infinite and dependent only on time and nothing else."
Fundamentally wrong about RTS games. |
For those of you out there, stop reading at "Not in terms of tournament win/loss ratios, not in terms of vague theorycrafting balance discussions, but in terms of objectively observable facts"
The simple answer is OP doesn't care about the actual game balance but instead small differences between factions. As for the facts, they can be explained in context.
Original post ignores or is ignorant of:
STGs are a thing,
MP40s is comparable to Grease guns, not Tompsons,
PPSH also has SMG profiles, so are Sten guns, and Tompsons are only on two doctrinal elite infantry that hit the field as almost as late as an Ober.
ranting about the 222 armored car is a detraction from the original point and not a valid claim since the 222 is more akin to an M20 and that thing still gets damaged by small arms fire,
All factions pose threats to each other, it takes a good player to pull out the advantages of each, next patch is going to fix a lot of issues.
Complaining about SMGs here (in no relationship to win lost ratios) is as useless as complaining about German armor having superior armor or the Panther having more health than the Pershing.
In conclusion: learn to use your brain more rather than sucking off the teets of someone else's opinion. |
Actually, I wouldn't mind if the EZ8 was a stock upgrade or make it another tier just like Hammer or Anvil is for the Brits.
You can then make m10 also a stock unit and then lock Jackson or Ez8 behind two separate upgrade columns.
Oh and, put the AT gun in the T0 building unlockable after Officer.
Not sure what can fill the spot CPT tier, maybe a Sniper? (just throwing out ideas) |
Actually, I'm confused too, why is it such an expensive upgrade for 2 guns while you can get 4 Tommies for 90 on other CQC squads?
P.S wouldn't mind if Bar munition cost was 50 and stats toned down accordingly. |
An idea for the Airborne Pathfinders that'll really help in order to fix airborne a bit.
Literally, make them the same as IR Pathfinders and equalize the ability to call down artillery strikes and build beacons.
Also, does it not feel weird that airborne doesn't have access to basic air strafing abilities?

Wasn't Incendiary Rounds banned for excessive flaming?
This just seems like a baiting post to flame either the community balance team or the opinions of the common player. AKA not worth anyone's time.
Please, people from all over the world, it is not worth replying to this threat. Move on with your life and keep discussing balance changes |
Easy there guys no need to rage over the EZ8.
On the topic of the 50.cal, it just makes sense to me more over the M19 rack unlocks because of the Rack unlock changes rifle play to be medium range and very static. Having the 50 would not only let you skip over LT but also let the Rifles keep mobile with Bars with good support. There's also a lack of active abilities in the doctrine Imo and having the LMG rack or the rifle defenses would be just more fun than more passives.
Half-track seems like a good idea thou, rifles always needed halftracks to move. Now it's just the question of the M3 or the M5. :0 |
I feel like increasing costs of Volks to 260/26 and increasing sandbags building time by 5 seconds would be enough of a "Nerf"
It isn't necessary to mess with stats that much. |
Peeps, stop trying to remove the EZ8 from this doctrine plz. It's one of the only reasons to choose this doctrine and it's not a bad tank by a long shot. It's pretty much on par with an OKW P4 and maybe even slightly better.
I would actually like to see some kind of call in with this commander or Rifleman Defenses. If combining the sprint and flare into one ability while decreasing the costs of flares, it'll become a fine ability.
I suggest for rifle company to get a 50 cal airdrop after flares free up the slot.
My reasoning? Rifle Companies are historically as much support weapons as riflemen spam. There's already another version of the AT gun drop from Recon company and having another 50cal airdrop will help somewhat with the weird teching of USF.
Not very hard to implement and doesn't break the theme of Rifle Company. |
