When I build the site I didn't know what I will find from the data. Frankly I just wanted to know what is most played from the perspective of maps, commanders, bulletins. And I thought it's a shame that other games do have sites like this and we have nothing.
I really enjoy your work. It's not perfect but it's much better than anything we ever had for COH2 (in terms of data).

Can people stop making every faction the same at some point?
OKW having early rocket arty is one of the faction's perks, why remove it?
Stuka isn't even particularly good unless facing team weapon spam. No need to change anything.

so to turn on overlay you need to check "Toggle Overlay" and start Auto Scan. When new players are detected the overlay shows for 30 seconds and after that should disappear.
Now there are other files besides exe because i had to use external libraries.
this is how it looks for now so feel free to make bug reports and suggestions for further improvements

Hm.... very very hard to show them that current balance is broken.
Not sure why you are surprised about that. No matter what arguments you present certain people will reject them. Most people only believe what they want to believe and fits into their worldview. The same can be said about coh2 balance. |
It might be worth looking how well UKF do against Ostheer and OKW separately.
It has been known for months/years that UKF is good vs OKW but struggles vs Ost. It doesn't seem like the balance team is ever going to do soemthing about it. |
Its not that the Comet main gun would perform like a PZIV or T34 versus infantry... Why not giving the Comet a way to increase its MG damage too (would get affected by inf vet too)? The Panther should deal more AI damage than Comet in absolutely NO combat situation, since that was always the reason for me Comet looses badly to Panther.
Comet already got a buff to its MGs in one of the last updates. Or did they scrap that as well? |
Remove section cover bonus, make sections 5men regardless of Bolster and balance them around them being 5 men, give sections snares, remove sections trenches, remove sappers snare, put UC in T1, nerf the shit out of the AEC, nerf hunt, put mortar team in T1, put every UKF emplacement in Advanced emplacements doctrine, remove phosphorus rounds from Comet, put land mattress in T2 and make it a useful non cheesy unit.
Anything less than that is not acceptable. Better have a dead Brit faction than an OP Brit faction.
So basically remove everything that makes UKF unique then? I think I would give this idea a pass. |
The thing with UKF is this:
As soon as the faction is strong and used in 1v1 tournaments, certain community members will cry non-stop until the faction is nerfed and no one uses UKF.
After a while, the balance team will get the idea to buff them slightly to make them viable and as soon as they are competitive in 1v1 again there will be nerfs because the whining will overwhelm every rational argument. |
