No atg miss units like that...not even close.
With extreme low target size..misses may occurr rarely on tergets at the bottom of the atg arc.
The most ridicolous parts is that there isn't such thing as "moving target" at all, accuracy is affected only by the mivement if the unit that is firing...but i DO LOVE how you try so hard (failing) to make it look like you actually have a grasp of basic vehicle/at mechanics of this game.
Putting raketen in building deny cloak and the atg fires on infantry wasting shots, same for sturm shreck...300 mp for something as pathetic as a single shreck squad is ridicolous...
the claim that tools as snares and mines that other factions don't lack should fill the gap (which has no reason to exist to begin with), that sturmshreck is of any use, that raketen garrison is underappreciated (lol), that vehicles are somewhat harder to hit when moving...are ridicolous and only show how short sighted you are with your 2500 4vs4 rank with just 18 matches in.
The real question is why a 2500 rank player feels the need of spreading misinformation based on wrong stats and make pretentious and laughable claims.
The raketenwerfer already has some good utilities, combined with OKW's basic stuff from the start. Buffing its accuracy may be a(partial) death sentence for light vehicles unless you just rush the thing which is difficupt to pull off when there are volks nearby 9/10 times.
I'm also not reliant on calling out playercards since i want to have a proper discussion without knowing how bad or good others are.
I also admit i don't spend too much time on multiplayer since i don't play coh2 every day and the toxicity around my level is just... unbearable. I'm tired of having to fight with random strangers that don't know what they are doing and proceed to blame me for not helping them. I have had the luck of not meeting TKers or cheaters though. |
MG42 is, in my opinion, the best HMG.
Vet1 incindiary AP rounds wreck LV's before i have a pak40 out, and the ability to rapidly suppress infantry makes this an amazing piece of weaponry to have in any army. |
The last line is blatantly untrue, since assault grenadiers have been always been used regularly on urban maps in all game modes.
On the main point:
MP40s are slightly weaker because they always come on units that have extra utility. Assault grenadiers can spawn immediately, can sprint and have exellent anti-building nades. MP40 upgraded volks can close distance with smoke and have nice regular nades. Having two units do exactly the same thing is just stale.
As stated before in this thread, MP40s are a situational upgrade. You're not going to use them against soviets because you won't get value out of them (no high tier squishy infantry). But using them to flank support weapons, to close range with dug-in infantry sections or to quickly kill units like pathfinders can be a good bet.
I can certainly confirm this. I've found MP40 volks to be very decent at catching enemy units that aren't very great at CQB(like pathfinders, IS, etc) and the smoke grenade obviously is a nice offensive tool but i use it more often as an way to blind everyone when i am suppressed(which is something i have to work on...).
Unfortunaly the regular ''potato masher'' AKA model 24 grenade is really lackluster. It has no real upsides like a higher throwing distance, cheaper pricetag or lower cooldown and does squat for damage on full health, clumped up squads. As of right now, i group up my assvolksgrens with regular volks or even obers(which is counterproductive for the obers in general) in order to get halfdecent grenades in an allied squad.
Other than that, they're a nice change. |

My point still stands. Moving targets are harder to hit. Light vehicles are on the move 99/100 times, so obviously the raketen has some problems there. It's not unique to the raketen, and please don't try to convince me and others here otherwise.
You can also put the raketen into buildings(unique and very underappreciated), which makes it harder to flank.
Oh, and you also have mines, snares on your mainline, and a panzershreck upgrade on your engineers. That should fill up the reasonable void that the raketen has right now. |
I don't think that OKW needs more accesable healing considering they already have sturmpioneers that may drop medical supplies for a fair price, for up to 3 squads. I'd rather have the cooldown on it reduced, and call it a day. |

Probably because said M3, UC or M20 are moving. As we all know, moving targets are a bit harder to hit.
It's not like OKW has a snare to slow those vehicles down or anything. |

Badly made poll, for example I cannot express my opinion there.
What if I think that mp40 volks are currently underperforming compared to stg volks but I want to give them more utility, not raw DPS buff.
I think this unit would have been far more useful if grenade range was like riflemen rifle grenade range and if this unit lost the ability to build sandbags and fire panzerfaust but received incendiary grenade and sprint (could be also with exhaustion if it is too op, or price can go to 20, like conscript one).
The unit should be having utility, not raw power, because STG volks are already a raw power unit
