It should be doctrinal and put on a cmdr + tier4. A way to good unit to be non doctrinal. It can even have smoke. This alone can win match. All formats.
Mmm I wouldn't go that far. I think that's bias talking. Ost t4 is still really hard to reach on its own and it's not really a heavy tank. |
105mm Bulldozer should be roughly the same if not the same. I'd have to see stats on scatter etc but attack ground on the bulldozer still works more than sufficient.

The bunker buster shot has a range of 20-60 and targets anywhere. This means that it won't target objects or units. Essentially it's a longer range attack ground shot.
That is if I am reading the mod tools correctly, which can often be deceptive. I always thought it had a bigger AoE, but it does not appear to.
Huh ok. That's pretty good for a free ability on a tank. I think i saw it doing a little more damage to some guy's base than the normal attack, which would make sense since its called "bunker buster" shots or something like that. |
2 questions: does anyone know what the vet 1 ability does? Also, is there any other unit with the pinpoint attack ground accuracy that the brummbar has? |

Actually, Germany got pretty close with the first half of the Schlieffen plan. I think they were about 40 miles away from Paris at the first battle of the Marne. I think Russia mobilized a lot faster than they had hoped though, so who knows. |
If the StG upgrade switches out the remaining rifles for MP-40s they wouldn't just have a nobrainer upgrade. It'd shift the upgrade into a role change and allow them to flank or act as assault units, but they wouldn't be able to a-move to victory. It'd also allow for a more important role for Obers.

I like this idea. I remember Svanh's mod utilizing this concept, though I think it's an idea that's come up many a time by various people since, well even Opposing Fronts. Cool to see it in action, wherever credit is due for the idea originally.
Although really, I don't know why the mortar pit can't just be one mortar. The other mortar, if it should exist at all, should be uncrewed and only crewed when an IS or RE are garrisoned. Slash the price in the process.
That, or the emplacements should be really cheap, stealable, and built without crews, with garrisoned units crewing the emplacement weapon.
That would actually be really cool. I especially like the last idea, very unique and different from the stupid emplacements we have now. I personally think the pit should just have one mortar and be decreased to like 240-230mp (or further if the other idea is implemented). |
2 Pack Howies are more expensive than real Howitzers. Noted, you could just lower the damage to structures through target table to same as mortar shells.
Reminder that Pack Howie would shoot like artillery, which means scatter. Mind that i do think that the 160 range is excessive and the extra range at vet3 is unneeded.
True true. Usf can't even make real howitzers though. I think I am starting to like your idea, as HEAT shells every 20 seconds or so would be even more op I think. Does anyone remember the current barrage cooldown at vet0 and vet3? I seem to remember it being relatively long but I haven't used it in a while. |
I think the autofire range is the same as the vet 0 Ost mortar but it doesn't get any vet bonus to autofire range. When the Ost mortar gets to vet 3, it gets a 33% longer barrage range, but I don't think that is really part of the pack howie's problem.
One of the bigger issues is the pop cap, which is 11 (even more than Obers). Just getting one of them is a significant decrease in mp income.
