It would be strictly a nerf since it's free at vet 1. It would be better if nade tech unlocks AT nade at vet 0, while vet 1 still gets it for free. best option by far i think. you could get it at any stage of the game bundled with regular nades as a nice bonus and would still be able to bypass sideteching for it if you really can't squeeze in the 100 mp / 20 (?) fu. Thread: NEW MAPS!8 Sep 2020, 12:45 PM probably soon(tm), but i wouldn't hold my breath if i were you. while there are a couple of great maps in the works, the fact that coh2 is pretty much on hibernation (no more cm or anyone actively working on the game) and the next major tourney has already been announced to be played on the current patch means the wait will likely be long. i'd love to be proven wrong though... Thread: Just more Ideas8 Sep 2020, 12:10 PM the suppression / stun for the railway arty strike is really cool and something that might be worthwhile to be implemented for other large-caliber weapons as well. always wondered if the sturmtiger could be made less wipey and, to make up for the loss in raw damage output, apply any sort of temporary infanrty debuff, like lower movement speed or accuracy instead. after all that massive 380 mm shell should at the very least cause a lot of burst eardrums... Thread: So does anyone ever actually use Osttruppen reserve ?1 Sep 2020, 05:41 AM i think both relief infantry and rapid conscription suffer from the same problems; they come way too late cp-wise to be really useful and, on top of that, are too pricey for what they offer. they were somewhat ok before the nerfs to the active duration and number of squads that can be gained, but now i can barely imagine any situation where i'd spend the munitions over something else more useful. that being said, the introduction of 7 man cons and the t4-lmg upgrade improved things a little, but to make both abilities shine again imho the cp requirements would have to be lowered and either the duration increased or cost reduced. This would give a pretty accurate result. just saw this and i gotta say, if you think such a project would be feasable for you to code and you're willing to put the time and effort required into this - by all means go for it! while there are a handful of tools covering other areas, e.g. tank vs tank or tank vs infantry combat already, i think no one has really touched inf vs inf fights as of yet. a simulation - even if very crude - that could reliably approximate the outcome of a large set of identical matchups would be immensely helpful and surely much appreciated by the community. What's more the community and the playerbase don't have permission to use the tools to mod their behaviors. man, seriously, how many times have you been told that you can freely access the modding tools and edit the hell out of anything you want (within the limitations of said tools, of course)? you were even pointed to this guide to help getting you set up, yet you still keep repeating the same nonsense over and over like a broken record. get a grip ffs... if you had invested half the energy into modding than you spend whinging over relic and 'the community' not listening to your expert advice, you'd be all set with a mod that fixes each and every perceived flaw of the game by now. Thread: Why is the OKW artillery bugged?18 Aug 2020, 01:54 AM iirc the range is capped at 100 (?); not bad but noticably shorter than that of the regular barrage. it also needs to be targeted (obviously) at an enemy vehicle in order to work and may even require direct line of sight, though i'm not sure on the latter. never even got close to being able to use direct fire in a live game so far, but i remember testing the ability in cheatmod a while ago and it seemed to work as intended.
