Penals are the most cost/efficient unit in the game. They are cheap, good dps, very good health, 6men squad, good scalability, can be upgraded with satchel and ptrs (the only antitank weapon that can deal damage to infantry aswell). |
Also why mention "tanks set to AT" when the only tank which can change its shell is the sherman, which is missing from here?

I just did a test in cheatmod. 2 times per tank against cons in neutral cover. The tanks were set to AT.

Mmmm. According to this, you have to invest 50 MU on a MG for your P4 to have the same DPS of a T34/76, (which is already 35 FU cheaper than the P4)... This does not sounds very balanced at all by Relic. |
This is why I keep saying that Ost urgently needs a light tank as a stock unit. Ost are forced to go to panic puma every game, specially against T70 early rushes. |
Personally, I also dislike arty spam fests in 2v2 or 4v4.
IMO katy, mattress, stuka, pwerfer and calli shots should cost MUNI, maybe 35 or 45. |

SU76 needs to be nerfed indeed...Same as Stugs. Both units are overperforming hard.
But please no overnerfs again.
For Stugs a simple ROF nerf would be enough. SU 76 needs to get it´s barrage ability tied to Vet 1(or 2), ROF nerf and vet requirements increased. It vets way too fast right now.
Stugs are not OP. They are just "good". And they need to be "good" because is the only TD Ost have. Sovs instead have SU85 for late-game stages.
If ROF in stug is nerfed, then maybe it will be considered to increase the DPS or Pen. |
My thoughts on 2v2 balance since the latest patch:
USF
- Jackson is over-performing, especially coupled with popcap manipulation allowing them to be spammed.
- Indirect fire options are very strong compared to OKW, Ost can keep up for the most part.
- Infantry is in a good spot.
Brits
- Double bren Tommies are overperforming, they should be limited to one LMG.
- Indirect fire options are lacking now that the mortar pit has been nerfed into the ground.
- Lack of vehicle snare can be really painful.
- Firefly feels very balanced compared to the Jackson.
Soviets
- All openers (Cons/T1/T2) are very strong. Sniper being OP on most maps.
- Katyusha is way too effective at long range. It can safely get wipes and vets up very quickly.
- SU76 is over-performing. Its range/pen need to go down, and the barrage needs to cost munitions.
- SU85 is a monster with vet, possibly over-performing.
- PPSH cons are too cost-effective, leaving Shocks with no place in the game.
- Guards are back to being the jack of all trades elite inf. The buff to PTRS damage vs infantry was completely unnecessary.
Ost
- Mortar is over-performing, especially vs Brits early game.
- Grens are incredibly fragile mid/late game; I'd love to see a 5th man either via vet like REs or via upgrade like Brits.
- 222 is a joke unit that really needs some love vs snipers especially.
- Panther is in an awkward spot. Is it a TD, or is it a brawler? Pick one and give it the same treatment that its allied counterparts get.
OKW
- Good aggressive early game.
- Vet system needs an overhaul, right now it's inconsistent and often detrimental. Make vet levels 1-3 equal in strength and attainability to other factions and levels 4 & 5 unlock abilities across the board.
- Popcap numbers need to be brought down on a lot of units now that they're not nearly as strong; vehicles mostly.
- Struggles vs both maxim and sniper openers from Soviets.
- Same Panther issues as Ost.

If you want, please watch this replay cast to see the current OPness power of the Jacksons.
They completely invalidate the supposed "axis tank superiority" in the game. This is happening in every single game since the last patch. Axis cannot kill a single Jackson. They navigate the field as an unstoppable unit.
Plus, the P47.... And as if this were not enough the USF player is constantly popcaping (decrewing to build more Jacksons) and having 117 popcap (this kind of tricky things are, IMO, disgusting).

Back to topic plz.
IMO, M36 Jacksons get a double buff in the last patch:
From one hand they get their HP boosted.
But they also get the "indirect buff" of the Panther nerfs, and the Heavy Axis TD damage reduced (elephant and JT).
Thats the reason why we now watch jacksons rounding around the map with almost any proper counter. |
Now i know you will say i got RES Tank Traps for cover but a little riflemen utility wont hurt i mean grens IS volks cons got a tupe of defense for your riflemen you need commadner i think riflemen should get non commander sandbags when RES are not around
IMO all of the 5 mainline inf should have access to sandbags. Or anyone. |
