I wasn't asking for direct nerfs, just change it into a barrage weapon so it doesn't perform like the old leig anymore. |
It's not fun when 2 of these pop up and shred your infantry out of nowhere, on AUTO-FIRE.
People screamed about the laser-guided leig and it got nerfed and adjusted, turning it into the balanced weapon it is today, why the same can't be done with the Scott? Or all indirect fire?
I know I opened a thread about this already, but it's so irritating to see it wiping your squads even though it doesn't show up often. |
Well, I (and most people who agree with me here) just want to see the Scott better at barraging and not sniping squads like a sniper on steroids, people hated the old Leig for exactly that.
And here we go again with the rocket artillery, you hear the firing sound, you move somewhere else, you avoid most damage. For the panzerwerfer, maybe some rockets will hit your units out of sheer RNG but the for the stuka, you basically (usually) avoid all damage by strafing your blob or moving your weapon teams (it fires in a line after all). They hit hard, sure, but only against static targets like Brit's emplacements or poorly microed weapon teams and blobs. |
Don't know if it's because of this thread I opened but I seem to face many more USF players using Scotts now, like all of a sudden, it's really annoying.
As OKW, I don't suffer as much but if it's a Ostheer ally, they get seriously wrecked as their units have smaller squad sizes. I really feel bad for them.
Regarding the thread, I think the unit need nerfs to its ROF + scatter/accuracy in direct-fire mode, it's so effective at snipping squads that a unit has to retreat after taking a direct hit or risk being moped up by infantry. |
Yes, please post name. I've been watching the 2v2 finals on Twitch and haven't seen anyone play the terribly OP USF. Did the elite players agree that USF was too OP to play in a tournament?
His in-game name is CPU-Non Standard, meet him a lot in 2v2. I don't believe he plays tournament, and why does everyone brings up tournaments and pro players all the time? Is this game built for pros or for the normal players? |
Oh my god. The fabled op scotts that win you every game. I wonder why nobody at the 2v2 tournament did pick usf, spam scotts, cover them with jacksons and take easiest 5k$ in their lives? Can anyone from the axis biased crowd in this forum explain that to me?
This isn't always about tournaments and pro players, hardly anyone here could play like them. |
That's the reward for good micro.
I can say the same, but for the sturmpanzer.

Is ost mortar ht a late game unit that costed 70 fuel?
And yes, they have nothing comparable, just like USF has nothing comparable to stuka zu fuss, panzerwerfer, brummbar, panther, tiger and so on.
Factions have different units, they are not comparable, they serve different roles within the armies.
And again, its a 70 fuel mortar, not brummbar, don't camp extensively against it and you'll be fine.
Lastly, do you speak of 3v3 here?
2v2 and 3v3, yes.
It's not a 70-fuel mortar, as all mortars and howitzers are now only good for their barrage ability, except this thing, which snipes 1-2 man almost every time it auto fires from somewhere behind the lines. I am not even camping or turtling in any way, the point is it's so effective at killing infantry while staying out of harm's way. |
Its a mortar that costs 70 fuel, is locked behind last tier and is supposed to serve similar role to rocket arty of other factions.
Oh, and if there is vehicle involved, its no longer infantry fight.
Why is this thing left out?
Because it doesn't nuke squads in 1-2 shots while being super durable.
Dive with puma and just kill it.
Then why was the Ostheer mortar halftrack nerfed?
Dive with Puma, sounds good, doesn't work, he wouldn't have won so many games if it was that easy.
Rifles snare, Jacksons and other shenanigans prevent that.
It does its job well supporting his infantry advances while staying out of danger, OKW and Ostheer has nothing of the sort, while having elite infantry units that are super vunerable to explosives, like what this thing fires. |
This thing hit like a leig, is greatly mobile, has nearly pin-point accuracy and fast reload, if used in pair and microed well will cause massive MP bleed, winning most infantry fights in favor of USF (as if rifles late game aren't strong enough).
With the recent changes to indirect-fire weapons (and also the sturmpanzer), why is this thing left out? I've seen it used to deadly effects by a certain USF player (don't know if I should post his name here), who always build 2 of these, 2 jacksons and blob his rifles and officers and win every time vs any opponent (2v2 or 3v3 team game).
If you complaint so much about the sturmpanzer then I'd like to see this thing nerfed too, it's so fast that makes it so hard to catch, and it's not so expensive for it's performance. |
