JP4 is good, but it is vunerable to medium tank spam, moreso in urban maps. I find myself using it against TD spam more often than against medium spam.
If Hetzer keeps the flame gun when built then its timing needs to be improved, since it can't do anything to tanks.
For MP40 Volks, I would remove the option to build sandbags and give them a sprint ability for 10 munitions. |
Allow Hetzer to start with a normal AT main gun, make it similar to the Stug, but with more maneuverability, similar range, higher fuel/MP cost and no longer requires Panzer Authorization (just need to set up the flak truck). Then make the flame gun an upgrade. |
OKW
Terror Doctrine
Display the full might of Western High Command, instilling fear into the hearts of your enemies. Breakthrough fortified enemy lines with the Reich's elite King Tiger supported by zealous infantry, powerful machine guns and experienced officers. Devastating V2 rockets can be called in to obliterate enemy concentrations, turning the battle in your favor.
2cp: Sturm Offizier from Breakthrough Doctrine.
3cp: Passive ability. MG42 now buildable from Command HQ. Can get 5 levels of veterancy - OKW style. Veterancy bonuses can be adjusted according to OKW's 5 levels of veterancy.
6cp: Valiant Assault from Luftwaffe Ground Forces Doctrine.
9cp: Passive ability. Newly called-in King Tigers now start at veterancy 1 (immediately gain access to Spearhead ability) and get a new active ability called "Intimidate vehicle" - for a short duration, the King Tiger's main gun is locked and can only fire on a targeted enemy vehicle, causing them to panic - increases the targeted vehicle's reload time and reduces its speed. Make it a little more expensive than Guard's Button Vehicle.
12cp: V2 Rocket, a new off-map ability. Cost is 200-250 munitions. Destroy anything that isn't a heavy tank in the center blast radius, stun surviving vehicles and pin surviving infantry, has about 50% larger radius compared to Sturmtiger's rocket. If adding a new model is too much then just use the Sturmtiger's rocket model, if possible then make it a bit bigger. |
MP40 Volks are reinforced with Kar98 Volks, is this a bug? |
What’s the point of giving feedbacks if they just go straight into the dumpster and not on your work table? I freaking love this game, I have over 1k2 hours in it over the years and only want it to get better, yet everytime I open a thread to give constructive feedbacks I get nothing but disappointment. Even when the majority of the players agree, nothing is done to adress the problem (because apparently the opinion of a few chosen ones matters more). I had a thread about this already and many also agreed that the very best thing to counter this vehicle is raketen cheese and even that doesn’t work more than once or twice. As the interest in that thread die out, everybody suddenly forgot about their discussion and what needed to be done, so the vehicle is “fine, balanced” once again. Honestly, if I didn’t love the game so much I wouldn’t come here at all, let alone opening threads to discuss about something. |
So the general consensus is that the Scott needs to be adjusted, can we expect when it will happen? |
Basically what it does is it bleeds you dry and also win infantry engagements since most Axis infantry is long-ranged and need to stay still to unleash reasonable DPS (compared to in-your-face Allied infantry).
The mortar half-track is cheaper and more or less does the same job, I agree. But it doesn't bleed as much because it can hardly hit mobile infantry and it is a lot more fragile. |
And what’s all the fuss about the fuss (puns intended)? It is a super expensive rocket arty that dies in 1 tank shot and is only reliable in countering emplacements or static weapon teams, you have to be deaf to not hear its firing sound. Seriously, just move your infantry a bit and most often it will end up creating cover, not wiping your men. |
The unit would had seen nerfs if it wasn't part of the major tech. The problem of been on the last tech building (reminds me of old P2 in Schwerer HQ).
If you nerf the direct fire mode, you would need to give it enough utility and firepower on barrage to make it worth using that late stage on the game. A mortar HT at the equivalent timing of rocket artillery is not gonna cut it down.
One way to change it is reducing the range on auto attack, while keeping it's AI performance, but improving barrage mode to compensate. What about HE delayed fuse barrage ?
Or put it in the captain tech and tone it down a bit so I can actually counter it with 222 or puma, when the uber jackson isn’t on the field yet.
Buff it anyway you want, just don’t make it an old leig on tracks like it currently is.
If all fails then I’m cool with swapping it with the calliope, just balance their prices accordingly. |
If it was made any worse there would be no reason to build one. You'd be better off with a mortar, or a mortar HT.
It's a budget Brummbar that dies to a stiff breeze. For 70 fuel it should - and does - preform acceptably against infantry.
Except that it is extremely hard to counter, unlike the brumbar that always get its butt shot off by various 60 range tank destroyers on the Allied side. |
