I wouldn't call the panthers gun a dud but it sure doesn't do much to infantry but yeah the comet definitely wrecks infantry really hard to the point where I dont think either of these tanks costs reflect their performance.

Panthers are great because you can force enemies to fight you on your terms. You have the range, speed, and armor advantage. It's not the panthers fault if you keep getting it flanked by enemy mediums.

This is actually the tiny bit of historical accurancy in the game, tanks that have higher on the move accurancy, namely sherman variants and comet were the ones that used gun stabilisers during ww2. This is one of inventions germans never thought of so german tanks didn't use stabilisers and had worse accurancy on the move, to the point that real tankers actually shot on the move only in very rare cases. I guess relic decides to add a little fun historical polish to sherman with that stat.

3CP - Emplacements gain the "Defensive Camo" ability which gives them a bugged jagdpanzer style cloak when not braced - The cloak not only makes them invisible, but also incorrectly causes many of the hits that land on the emplacement to not damage it. Emplacements can fire while cloaked, but will recloak in between shots. Emplacements fire at a reduced rate while cloaked.
4CP - Counter Spotters - any enemy unit with detection abilities that uses them to detect an emplacement will be sniped by hidden off map snipers. Lasts one minute, costs 45 MU. 90 second cool down.
4CP - Countr Battery
5CP - sappers gain the 60 MU "Silent Repair" upgrade that gives them Stealth that is activated while they are repairing something or while they are in cover.
