It is a new commander, the meta of Calliopes will die down once there's another new toy out. The Pershing was in every of my games for a while, along with Goliaths.
Goliaths cannot be compared to Calliopes. They can barely be compared to demo-charges. For every 10 goliaths, 9 will explode before reaching target. Haven't seen a Goliath in a long time and its a new commander. |
It's pretty clear what has happened to the balance since the AEC was buffed. Looking at the statistics the relative balance in 1v1 and 2v2 has now swung completely in the favour of the Allies. Whereas now, 3v3 and 4v4 seem relatively balanced.
I personally think 1v1 and 2v2 balance is more important than 3s or 4s. |
I think I preferred the variety of play in vCOH, but when I go back to it now I get so irritated by the squad healths not being immediately visible - you have to keep clicking on the shield to reveal all squads. It's too big a step backwards even though I miss the gameplay. Loved the way snipers worked in that game. Sneaky invisible thieves. |

I would honestly love to see the win ratios for higher than top 151. I suspect UKF are in much better shape in the larger scheme of things, since emplacements really do the same damage no matter what your rank/skill level is. |

Lmao this is so gardening ridiculous. On the one hand, you insist "l2p" re: killing the truck, then you suggest using "one AT gun" as a reliable way to kite the thing as if any OKW player who has been playing the game for more than 30 seconds will lose his Schwerer to a single ATG attacking ground.
The Schwerer is simply too potent an emplacement in its current state for what it costs the OKW player. There is nothing unreasonable about suggesting that it is overperforming for its cost, same as any other unit in the game.
It suppresses, snipes, and kills infantry at long range, it annihilates light vehicles and armor, it reliably penetrates all medium armor except the Easy 8, T-34/85, and maybe Cromwell, and it shoots down planes consistently. It is by far the most versatile and effective emplacement in the game, and it is constructed every game and costs nothing beyond OKW's normal tech costs.
Whether you consider it free or "part of the price" of OKW's teching, it overperforms for what the OKW player pays for it, relative to what other factions get for teching to a comparable level.
And what, in your equations, do you evaluate is the cost for the risk involved in it being destroyed? ie. ending medium armor production for at least five minutes. |
Never known OKW to be considered a nerfed faction. I know people on this site had other opinions but....this is .org so that is to be expected to an extent.
On your second point, yes differences in design are good BUT when all those differences stack up in OKW's favour then change needs to be made. Side teching costs etc.....
So you don't remember the Obers being nerfed in half. The KT and Panther being nerfed and the LeIG losing it's suppression? Well why not let the data have it's say then. Go to coh2chart.com and expand the date range as far as possible. You can clearly see what happened.

First of all you are rewriting history. Okw was heavily nerfed, THEN the resource penalty was eventually removed. Calling for a nerf because the resource penalty was buffed shows you don't know what you are talking about.
Secondly, the faction is designed to have bonuses with each truck. It is called a difference in design. It suffers in other ways to compensate. Ever seen an OKW non-doc mg? Ever seen a retreatable okw mortar? The list of differences (some superior and others inferior) to other factions goes on and on. Talk about area denial? Ever seen what allies can do around the central fuel in lierneux?
Why do you ignore what people say to you with regards suggestions of how to improve? Are you THAT ignorant? |
