Thread: new AEC is overpowered27 Jan 2016, 20:24 PM Jump back to quoted post27 Jan 2016, 20:01 PMcr4wler ...and at the moment the decision to take AEC is a no-brainer, because your cromwell will still come at roughly the same time because of your increased map control with the AEC. that is if the game lasts long enough for a cromwell to even hit the field ;-) I disagree. on some maps it makes no sense to forgo the bofor just for a slightly earlier generalist vehicle. But like I said, I think it should be slightly nerfed in range and smoke moved to vet 1 or 2. Then it will be a tougher choice. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: useless commanders: Firestorm Doctrine27 Jan 2016, 20:06 PM I like this doctrine, even though it could definitely use a buff. There is nothing like moving about Ettelbruck Station with a Hetzer burning the shit out of the brit emplacements and the mg spam. It can face on attack Bofors without a care in the world. I also kind of enjoy taking care of it. It's quite cheap after all and so it can't be too tough. But the doctrine definitely needs another selling point above this. Either that or make the Hetzer a tougher KV8 style tank. I'd say though that the Goliath doc is in more urgent need of attention. That thing is pathetic. Who would plant demo charges if 9 times out of 10 they exploded on their own? In: Lobby

You can't nerf it too much, because as Brits it is a choice between the Bofor and the AEC. It is refreshing that there is that option at the moment. It is quite a big sacrifice to take the AEC, especially since the Cromwell is basically superior in every way and is not THAT much more expensive. In: COH2 Balance

But the patch notes that indicate the panzershreck stats does not exist currently. So I took them from coh2 stats and indicated the nerf a few months ago from memory. oh, I think this is more current than coh2 stats which is long out-of-date http://www.stat.coh2.hu Check it. That's what I was going by. But their values are simplified and rounded as they have 2 decimal places, whereas the patch notes have three, so it's anyones guess. In: COH2 Balance

Panzershreck was recently nerfed far accuracy a few patch ago. Accuracy far: 0.025 Accuracy near: 0.05. Panzershreck has more damage and penetration. Bazooka is cheaper, is more accurate, fires faster, can be put on rear echelon. Those are the differences between the two. Seems like stat.coh2 is out of date then. In: COH2 Balance

They have the same "far" accuracy of 0.03 and depending on which file (mp or not) the Bazooka is either slightly more accurate at "near" or slightly less accurate than the Panzerschrek. (Bazooka has 0.03F 0.06N) (Panzerschrek 0.03F 0.05N) (Panzerschrek_mp 0.03F 0.07N) Either way, the accuracy at max range is the same. Max range is the same for both. Edit: Also the PIAT has the same accuracy profile as the Bazooka. However the PIATs range is ~25% longer than. In: COH2 Balance
