It is not meant to demolish light vehicles or any vehicles but it does something which can help ward off a hard push or preventing them from chasing your retreating units (T-70 is rather good at picking off squads that are retreating). .... Being able to only soft counter cheaper light vehicles is not a strong point but rather a weakness, even members of the MOD realized that the unit is not that good vs vehicles. In: COH2 Balance

As Vipper mentioned before the bulletin adds suppression which is actually not a bad bulletin to pick up. Its current damage allows it to act as a soft counter to light vehicles (Such as T-70) Ostwind is quite bad vs vehicles especially when moving mostly due to the combination of horrible accuracy and low scatter. It has a 45% chance to score a hit at T-70 and another 50% to penetrate lowering the chance to do damage at 22.5% (and 12.5% if moving...) It also needs 10 hit to kill it... In: COH2 Balance

(personally think I would like something in between). Can you also reduce the "glare" area on the hut. Imo it is too big. Also the ostwind does insane amounts of damage anyways. Why even need to suppress. The bulletin gives suppression to the hull mg and it an only suppress a single unit at a time. OP is talking about add suppression for less damage on the main gun as far as I understand. In: COH2 Balance

Reducing the pop to 9 would probably be fine. One could also try to move them away from commanders with other unique units like Calliope/Pershing and somehow redesign them. In: COH2 Balance

Then they gave damage reduction to Grenadiers the following patch. While Rangers were never given anything to compensate. ... There some thing that are inaccurate in this post. A) The reasoning behind Damage reduction removal from rangers was it was not communicated to players and not that "nothing should be allowed to have damage reduction". B) Ranger had their target size reduced so their durability vs small arm remained about the same so they did get something back. In: COH2 Balance

Rangers have 3 slots and can equip up to 3 BARs. The Thompson unlike other SMG remain good at mid ranges. Generally speaking the unit can use a number of different type of weapons from long range rifles, to far to mid weapon likes BARs, Mid to close like Thomspons, Superior AT weapons or combination of these weapons.
