Thread: new AEC is overpowered30 Jan 2016, 20:51 PM I'd be fine with reverting some of the previous buffs, or a timing nerf...if PIATs are buffed to the level of Panzershrecks with the stupid 'attack-ground' requirement removed and a form of AT Snare being introduced for British Forces (bring back the Sniper's Vet0 Snare) The British would be unplayable again if the AEC was nerfed otherwise or delayed. The AEC has great AT performance, while also being able to harm infantry. Being able to self spot as a generalist unit is OP. It has all that because UKF lack an AT Snare and lack viable infantry-based AT. Its no coincidence that UKF wasnt winning before the buff. Its a band-aid covering a festering wound. Make PIATs as good as Panzershrecks and bring back the Sniper's Snare, to counter the OP Dominance of OKW. In: COH2 Balance

They were unplayable without the AEC buff. They'll get nuked by the OKW with that with uberfast Luchs and Panzershreck Legions. The sight nerf is harsh, but survivable. I'd be ok with the nerf as a whole; if they change PIATs to not require ground-attack to be accurate, and if giving better damage and penetration. In: COH2 Balance

Its the sole change that has made British Empire Forces playable again. Making a Panzer III when people want to delay the AEC, when UKF has no AT Snare, is bound to be OP. In: COH2 Balance

The side benefits of Anvil are no longer any good. Hammer is the only viable option because of the Comet being able to just about stand up to German Tanks. In: COH2 Balance

Its timining is insanely fast. -Blast radius is ridiculously large! -You just cant have anti-everything unit at tier2 My Solution: -Research time has to be increased 30 seconds. -Create a decision upgradable for AEC, armor or speed upgrade ( to achive current stats costing 60AMU each). -Reduce blast radius by 30-40% -Decrease MP cost -80, Increse fuel cost +5. I would be fine with this, if it comes alongside a buff to PIATs to put them on the same effectiveness as Panzershrecks with little-to-no scatter, or cost reduction to 6 Pounder AT Gun or cost reduction/effectiveness buff to the Sniper. Nerfing the AEC is going to leave the British Forces to get dominated by light tanks and vehicles like pre-AEC Buff. In: COH2 Balance

I played a game where the guy just spammed AECs to win. He could move fast around stugs and paks and if I had him pinned he could just pop smoke and flee like the wind. If the AEC doesn't need a nerf then it needs to come out much later. Thats fine, if PIATs can be made to perform like Panzershrecks. In: COH2 Balance
