Nice dude, got anymore?
If so please keep em coming, I'm interested in whatever else you have.
I also only recently found out about the mxdoc site as well. |
That is actually the OST Falls from the All Units Mod but I don't think packing an extra close range DPS will be good and with their Kar-98s it will feel awkward IMO.
It's more about their survivability than anything else really, he could be armed with a pistol for all I care. |
I seriously wished that you have pushed. Their current camo is only working either you are there before your opponent (which in many cases won't happen since you will want falls behind the lines and those lines are closer to your opponent) or your opponent was fallen asleep on the keyboard and you got there.
I think they will not be overpowered or anything like that since they don't have the chrushing power of commandos or stormtrooper in CQC and are as you say glass cannons.
With the current changes they will be even harder to use IMO. Let me explain why :
1- They start with Kar98s so at first they will need to fight at long range or will get destroyed by many allied units. (So at first they are bad right ?)
2- When they get their first upgrade they will want to fight in long-mid range still. BUT a 4 man squad with identical survivability with Volks. We know how Volks face IS, Penals, Rifles etc. but that is 260MP spammable Volks not the 320 (with current changes) "Elite Infantry" Falls. And also to close the gap to throw the infamous grenade they are not durable as PGrens or Obers to do that and will definently drop at least 1 model before throwing the nade.
3-When they get their second upgrade it is the Falls we currently know with a little harder punch. But I still
seriously doubt will they deal more than the Ober. (That must be the trade off right ? For survivability you get better aggressiveness.) Thus Obers still will outshine and outperform Falls IMO (And with changes Obers are also coming faster so I definently see no point of Falls).
I think for those reasons they need to get the commando camo without any changes to current survivability and be deployed at 3CP. Because it looks like only this change can save them from being an inferior Ober.
They could be made into a 5 man squad, 5th man acts as a "squad leader" of sorts and comes with an MP40 and stays with it to help with their survivability. |
It's the location thats the bigger problem. It's the only AT gun that requires no fuel investment to unlock
Then simply swap the MG34 and raketen's places in the tech, the MG is already the 2nd weakest after the Maxim so making it T0 like the MG42, the best MG, and the Vickers, arguably one in the middle, would be fine I think. |
This. I think the patch nerfed USF more than it got buffed, especially the things that got nerfed were more common in team games, where USF is already lackluster. Gonna stick to playing SOV/UKF
USF will not be viable in team games unless they get a team game oriented commander.
They would have probably if I wasn't dumb enough to suggest my Airborne Glider Company instead of this:
Heavy Armor dictates team games and is what the USF is severely lacking. |
We were also considering 150 fuel for the jackson nerf, but wanted to be conservative give the other changes to usf's late game and just how essential the jackson is to any usf composition.
Adding riflemen field defenses AND making fireup useable will absolutely make it more popular. I don't expect it to make rifle company viable (honestly, I myself was hoping to get in some more drastic changes to the doctrine), but it'll make it more cohesive as a doctrine and less of a pain to use for those players that simply want to use it. It would take a lot to make it competitive against heavy cavalry, armor, mechanized, airborne, recon, or infantry (perhaps even urban assault).
I think flares being combined with sprint made more sense and the flamers for RE (which doesn't make sense given the theme of the commander) being replaced by something else that actually benefits Rifles more like the LMG weapon rack unlock, or something else entirely, that's just my idea/opinion. |
The M42 model can be used and just called a Pak 36, it's stats will be those of the Pak 38 and it could gain the ability to also either garrison as shown here (made possible by Sneakeye):
Or fire a special raketen style projectile called the Stielgranate 41 for extra damage or something as a Vet 1 ability:
I'm also for camo but only when stationary, it just doesn't make sense for something like that to be able to move while camoed, infantry yes, but team weapons no.
Also retreat won't be needed since it won't be so squishy anymore. |
Nah, just give us a mute and vote kick button.
I'd even add in a dedicated voice communication system like in World in Conflict as well to be honest. If you have a headset, why not use it? Voice communication will always be better and faster than text based chat. |
Yo, just got a Chinese guy blocking the entire front with British emplacements, asked him to remove them, he wouldn't so we destroyed a couple to open the way and then he started team killing us.
Got the replay, just not sure where to send it. I think I made a similar topic a long time ago but forgot the answer.
Thanks in advance. |
over all i quite like this one, only thing i would look at is the refinement of the officer (i know you copy and pasted the arty officer, but would like to hash out the details on the new one)
adding the medkit air drop (maybe just 1?) to the officer, perhaps the AI strafe as a vet ability? really refine him much like the arty officer is, but defined to his on branch
Nah dude this is like a proof of concept for possible future revamps, ultimately community team is gonna decide what's it's gonna be see. It's just something I quickly whipped up. |
